Design and prototype mechanical parts and subassemblies for home robots, conduct component and accelerated testing, create production drawings, perform tolerance analysis, and support tooling, DFM, supplier, and first-article activities through mass production. Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, firmware, software, and industrial design teams while troubleshooting failures and improving hardware reliability.

Lead mechanical design of critical robotic-product subsystems from requirements and architecture through detailed design, validation, tooling, production ramp, and reliability. Own tolerance strategies, manufacturing tradeoffs, supplier tooling, failure investigations, and corrective actions. The role requires hands-on engineering judgment, high-volume injection-molding expertise, production-ramp experience, and mentorship of other engineers in a fast-paced home robotics startup.

Designs mechanical parts and sub-assemblies for home-cleaning robots from concept through high-volume production. Responsibilities include CAD, prototyping, component testing, accelerated life testing, production drawings, tolerance analysis, GD&T, supplier collaboration, tooling reviews, first article inspection, and field-failure debugging. The engineer works cross-functionally with electrical, firmware, software, and industrial design teams while supporting manufacturing and quality processes in a fast-paced robotics startup.
