Schedules oncology infusion patients, processes orders and authorizations, maintains accurate patient documentation, enters data into the EHR, verifies CPT codes, creates referrals, retrieves reports, communicates with patients and hospital staff, and coordinates treatment rooms, equipment, resources, and supplies while following patient-care protocols.

Supports orthopedic providers in an outpatient clinical setting through direct and indirect patient care, clinical procedures, documentation, administrative assistance, and patient interaction. The role may be filled by a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse and requires adherence to scope of practice, safety standards, certifications, physical demands, and patient-centered care practices.

Performs ultrasound examinations independently using technical judgment and initiative to support radiographic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated procedures and areas, performs related duties, and follows Mercy’s service standards. This career-ladder position may be filled at the Associate, Sonographer, Advanced Sonographer, or Senior Sonographer level based on education, certifications, licensure, and imaging experience.
