Teams at Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC)

Supervises front office operations and staffing across assigned clinical locations. Coordinates workflows, onboarding, cross-training, scheduling, patient check-in and checkout, billing-related processes, deposits, inventory, and employee relations. Ensures excellent customer service, efficient patient flow, accurate payment processing, and effective communication with business office and billing teams. Supports front desk staff, residents, medical students, providers, and clinical personnel while recommending process improvements.

Provides psychiatric nursing care through walk-in encounters, telephone triage, EHR message management, crisis response, patient education, medication refill review, care coordination, referrals, and long-acting injectable administration. Collaborates with psychiatry providers, population health teams, pharmacies, hospitals, and community agencies to ensure continuity of behavioral health services. Supports nurse-led protocols, quality improvement, compliance, pre-visit planning, and clinical staff training.
