Lead research and development of large-scale AI models for autonomous driving, including perception, reasoning, prediction, planning, and physical-world interaction. Develop multimodal models using camera, radar, maps, vehicle state, and language data; create scalable training and continuous-learning systems; evaluate research through simulation and real-world vehicle testing; and guide deployment into Nissan’s autonomy platform. Mentor researchers, lead technical roadmaps, present findings, and translate innovations into publications, patents, and production systems.

Develop and evaluate perception algorithms for autonomous vehicles, including road-user detection, scene understanding, and road-structure estimation. Train and optimize machine learning models, validate performance in simulation and real-world driving environments, analyze failure modes, and build research software in Python and C++. Collaborate with autonomous systems teams, present technical findings, and contribute to publications, patents, and research initiatives.
