Lead optical engineering research, design, simulation, testing, characterization, and qualification for high-end semiconductor metrology tools. Own light sources, optical fibers, optical modules, physical modeling, lab setups, vendor management, and technical documentation. Collaborate with hardware and systems teams to deliver opto-mechanical and electro-optical modules and support production and service transfer.

The Senior System Engineer will develop and integrate metrology solutions for semiconductor manufacturing, collaborating with design and product teams, conducting R&D, and managing system performance and customer relationships.

Conduct advanced research in semiconductor materials characterization, surface science, and metrology. Develop physics-based measurement concepts, simulations, experimental testbeds, and proof-of-concept systems involving X-rays, electron beams, detectors, high voltage, and ultra-high vacuum. Evaluate analytical techniques and emerging semiconductor materials, interpret experimental data, and translate fundamental research into practical metrology solutions. Collaborate across physics, engineering, algorithms, applications, and product development teams.
