Develops operating concepts, design requirements, procedures, training, testing, maintenance, staffing, and readiness plans. Reviews process and control documentation, evaluates operability and human factors, coordinates multidisciplinary teams, manages design actions, and establishes turnover and operational-readiness criteria. Requires extensive complex-process-facility experience and strong leadership, communication, and technical writing skills.

Leads cross-functional engineering programs for Oklo’s nuclear fuel recycling facility. The role supports SOX controls, internal and external audits, construction-in-progress accounting, physical asset verification, and process improvements. It requires close collaboration with project controllers, procurement, accounts payable, and other stakeholders while applying U.S. GAAP and company capitalization policies.

Develop and govern portfolio planning structures, resource demand models, capacity plans, and operating scenarios across multiple projects and departments. Translate schedules and milestones into staffing, hiring, redeployment, cost, and investment insights. Designs, analyzes, prototypes, and operates fluid and process systems for isotope production, recovery, purification, and handling. Owns process system architecture, specifications, documentation, performance, and lifecycle configuration. Develops process diagrams, balances, operating envelopes, and regulatory documentation; collaborates with vendors on equipment procurement and testing. Supports product quality requirements and conducts hazard analyses addressing chemical, radiological, criticality, contamination, and abnormal-operation risks.

Develop and execute neutronics analyses for isotope production reactor design, operation, safety, shielding, fuel cycles, depletion, activation, target optimization, and uncertainty quantification. Build and validate computational models using MCNP, Serpent, SCALE, and Python; develop reproducible workflows; support multidisciplinary design, testing, licensing, safety evaluations, and regulatory responses; and communicate technically defensible results and uncertainties.

Lead advanced software engineering efforts for nuclear reactor design and analysis, developing tools for modeling, simulation, and design optimization while mentoring other engineers.
