Teams at Pivotal

Build and maintain full-stack internal applications for exploring aircraft flight data. Develop Python backend services, HTTP APIs, web interfaces, dashboards, AI-assisted diagnostic tools, data catalogs, alert review surfaces, and distributable analysis tooling. Work directly with engineering teams to define requirements, support self-service analysis, and own testing, deployment, CI/CD, monitoring, and documentation.

Lead Pivotal’s Systems Engineering team across aircraft requirements, architecture, integration, verification, validation, safety, and flight-test readiness. Manage requirements in JAMA, develop V&V plans, maintain interface documentation, coordinate multidisciplinary technical integration, support design reviews and aircraft testing, and mentor engineers. This hands-on technical leadership role requires deep systems-engineering expertise and experience with complex, safety-critical aerospace or electromechanical systems.

Build and operate Pivotal’s flight data warehouse and telemetry pipelines using AWS Glue, Athena, SQL, and Python. Design curated data marts, fleet health alerting services, data quality gates, dashboards, and query interfaces. Own data infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, and schema evolution end to end while collaborating with firmware, GNC, battery, flight operations, systems engineering, and MRO teams on telemetry and airworthiness decisions.
