Teams at Roku

Build and deploy video recommendation models and APIs, research LLM and computer vision applications, and develop semi-automatic annotation techniques for NLU models. Retrain and evaluate machine learning systems, improve Roku Voice data annotation pipelines, collaborate with engineering and product teams to launch research into products, and document technical work through design documents, demos, and presentations.

Design, develop, and deliver high-quality web applications and backend services. Enhance existing systems for usability, quality, performance, and scalability. Collaborate with UX, product management, and end users to create strong user experiences. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to distributed teams while delivering scalable interfaces and APIs in an agile, continuous-deployment environment.

Lead the design, development, automation, and maintenance of Roku’s local and cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code. Architect and maintain infrastructure with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform; integrate security, observability, and monitoring; implement new technologies and best practices; and mentor team members. The role also involves software development, application deployment, project leadership, and process improvement.
