Duties include setting goals and policies, allocating resources, managing budgets, supervising senior managers, improving organizational efficiency, coordinating with executive leadership and other agencies, representing the department publicly, and responding to community needs.

Leads investment strategy and fiduciary management of San Francisco’s $19+ billion Treasurer’s Investment Pool. Oversees short-duration fixed-income portfolios, asset/liability matching, cash-flow forecasting, trading, risk management, legal compliance, reporting, stakeholder presentations, vendor relationships, technology improvements, and investment staff. Advises committees and government stakeholders while ensuring safety, liquidity, performance, and adherence to California Investment Code and City investment policies.

Supports community outreach, events, listening sessions, communications, and administrative activities for economic justice programs. Develops and distributes public-facing materials, gathers community feedback, tracks outreach metrics, maintains partner contacts, and assists with scheduling and event logistics. The role focuses on StopScams SF and Kindergarten to College initiatives and includes evening and weekend events, local travel, and community engagement across San Francisco.
