Lead administration of a $300M legal aid grant portfolio, manage a 20+ person grants team, ensure fiscal integrity and compliance, advance strategic plans, engage stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in grantmaking operations.

Perform and review complex compliance reviews and investigative audits of attorneys' trust accounts to ensure compliance with laws and Rules of Professional Conduct. Lead design and development of complex Microsoft‑stack applications and integrations. Build scalable, secure solutions using C#, .NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and modern JavaScript frameworks. Improve CI/CD with GitHub Actions, enhance automated testing, monitoring/alerting, and modernize legacy systems. Collaborate with architects, product managers, QA, and infrastructure teams; provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentor staff. Support integrations with Azure services and justice/case‑management platforms like Tyler Odyssey.

Design, build, configure, and support cloud-based business solutions across Microsoft technologies (Power Platform, SharePoint, Purview, Power BI). Translate business needs into low/no-code apps, automations, integrations, and reports; enforce governance and security; document solutions; provide user support, training, testing, and after-hours assistance.

Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for development of the California Bar Exam, FYLSX, and legal specialization exams. Manage content creation, validation, psychometric quality assurance, vendor and stakeholder engagement, staffing and budgets, and implement policies, workflows, and security to ensure fairness, validity, reliability, and timely delivery. Present findings to executive leadership and regulatory bodies.

Lead and manage JNE program operations including confidential evaluations, supervising staff and volunteers, reviewing/editing reports, liaising with stakeholders, administering contracts, conducting audits and data analysis, and overseeing projects and budgets to ensure timely, accurate, and policy-compliant outcomes.

Lead and supervise fiscal operations including general ledger, month-end close, grants, accounts payable/receivable, purchasing cards, expense reports, investments, audits, budgeting and financial reporting. Develop fiscal policies, evaluate internal controls, prepare analyses and support audits, mentor staff, and manage special projects to ensure GAAP compliance and timely financial information for management.

Prosecute and investigate attorney-discipline and unauthorized-practice complaints. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs. Prepare cases for hearing or trial, assist or serve as counsel, manage case files, advise supervisors, and communicate with the public. Participate in trainings and present matters to State Bar bodies.

Lead and mentor application engineering teams to architect, develop, integrate, deploy, and maintain enterprise-scale Microsoft-based solutions. Oversee CI/CD, cloud modernization (Azure), integrations (Salesforce, Oracle, Tyler, Drupal), production operations, vendor management, budgeting, and technical strategy while enforcing best practices for security, quality, and performance.

Coordinate and respond to California Public Records Act requests, review documents for exemptions and redactions, communicate with requestors and internal offices, and maintain request tracking. Provide subpoena/discovery and litigation support, assist with contract and claims responses, conduct legal research, and advise staff on CPRA obligations under supervision of an Assistant General Counsel.

Staff the Ethics Hotline to provide research assistance on attorney professional responsibility issues; conduct in-depth legal and factual research; draft legal memoranda, advisory opinions, and committee materials; maintain ethics-related web content; support program administration and lead or train staff on policy, procedures, and program operations.
