Partner with engineering, customers, field teams, and GTM to prioritize work, define success metrics, launch effectively, and establish Nexus as a durable connectivity layer for distributed systems and AI infrastructure.

Own expansion opportunities across a portfolio of existing customers, increasing Temporal adoption and revenue. Develop account plans, engage technical and executive stakeholders, translate technical capabilities into business value, and manage complex, multi-threaded sales cycles. Build long-term customer relationships, identify growth signals, and collaborate with Solutions Architecture, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing. The role requires strong software sales performance, technical curiosity, value-based selling, discovery, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Serve as the primary customer-facing technical leader for major accounts in the Western U.S. Guide prospects and customers through technical evaluations, distributed-system architecture, prototypes, implementation, and production adoption. Partner with Account Executives on new business and expansion opportunities, develop account plans, assess technical risks, and advise on cloud, security, reliability, performance, and cost considerations. The role requires strong technical communication, architectural expertise, experience with a major cloud provider, and 25–50% travel.

Leads Temporal’s M&A strategy and builds a strategic seed investment program for companies developing on its platform. Responsibilities include sourcing and executing acquisitions and investments, conducting diligence, negotiating terms, developing financial models and valuations, aligning opportunities with product strategy, managing ecosystem relationships, and establishing governance and scalable processes. The role partners with Product, Engineering, executives, board members, investors, bankers, lawyers, and founders.

Build and operate foundational infrastructure for Temporal Cloud, focusing on high availability, disaster recovery, control-plane automation, database performance, deployment systems, and CI/CD. Design scalable multi-tenant SaaS systems, improve reliability and resilience, optimize PostgreSQL and related data platforms, and develop infrastructure tools, APIs, and operational automation for safer, faster releases.

Own Temporal’s AI ecosystem integrations and partnerships portfolio, including roadmap strategy, partner experiences, reference architectures, positioning, launches, enablement, and adoption. Engage customers and track the AI tooling market to prioritize investments. Collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Solutions Architecture, DevRel, and external partners to launch integrations, establish KPIs, and drive ecosystem momentum.

Own the external communications and social presence of Temporal’s co-founders and CEO/CTO. Ghostwrite technical essays, posts, bylines, and executive messaging; prepare founders for keynotes, customer meetings, podcasts, and media engagements; and partner with Product Marketing and Media Relations. The role requires strong developer communications experience, technical fluency, independent judgment, and frequent travel for in-person collaboration.

Deliver production-ready Temporal implementations with customer and partner engineering teams. Design reliable workflow patterns, deploy and operate Temporal Server in cloud or self-hosted environments, establish scaling and observability standards, and resolve complex technical issues. Create runbooks, templates, documentation, workshops, and training to enable independent customer operations. Provide implementation feedback to product and engineering teams while reducing escalations.

Leads global accounting, tax, treasury, procurement, financial reporting, controls, audits, systems, and international expansion. Partners with executive leadership on revenue recognition, deal structuring, IPO readiness, and global finance infrastructure while building a high-performing accounting and tax organization.

Leads and scales Temporal’s global technical support organization for complex developer and infrastructure issues. Establishes support operations, SLAs, triage, escalation, incident response, RCA, quality, staffing, and performance systems. Develops technical talent, reduces avoidable Engineering escalations, improves customer communications, and partners cross-functionally to convert support insights into product and documentation improvements. Represents Temporal in strategic escalations, critical incidents, enterprise support discussions, and executive readouts.

Own end-to-end revenue forecasting and financial modeling for a high-growth, consumption-based technology business. Build bottoms-up models using usage, cohorts, contract structures, and expansion behavior; partner with Data Science to improve predictive forecasts. Collaborate with GTM, RevOps, Accounting, Product, and leadership on scenario planning, headcount, pricing, revenue recognition, budgets, and executive reporting. Drive forecast accuracy, revenue predictability, and decision-making amid uncertainty and rapid growth.

Designs and builds scalable, reliable infrastructure systems across compute, networking, cloud orchestration, storage, and observability. Drives technical strategy, architecture, roadmaps, cross-team alignment, cost optimization, and secure-by-default practices. Requires extensive experience with coding, concurrent and distributed systems, cloud platforms, system-level tradeoffs, and infrastructure engineering.

Owns month-end close, corporate reporting, variance and flux analysis, board materials, and consolidated three-statement financial modeling. Maintains cash forecasts, long-range plans, workforce reporting, and headcount forecasts. Supports Pigment planning-platform administration, improves finance processes and data integrity, and delivers ad hoc analysis for finance leadership. Partners cross-functionally in a high-growth, pre-IPO technology environment.

Own and grow strategic Global System Integrator partnerships, developing joint business plans, executive relationships, co-sell motions, resale and managed-service offerings. Drive partner adoption, enablement, pipeline, consumption, and customer outcomes while coordinating Temporal sales, product, marketing, technical services, and customer success teams. Establish operating cadences, inspect pipeline, plan strategic accounts, and create repeatable go-to-market and solution plays across complex global organizations.

Own and expand Temporal’s strategic relationship with a Fortune 15 financial services customer. Drive adoption across lines of business, develop multi-year account strategies, engage technical and executive stakeholders, and convert successful production deployments into expanded consumption. Partner with solutions architecture, customer success, developer success, and product teams to ensure use cases reach production and deliver measurable outcomes. Navigate complex enterprise decision-making while consistently achieving growth goals.

Lead the design and implementation of core Temporal server features across distributed systems, workflow execution, scheduling, persistence, visibility, and performance. Set technical direction, make reliability and operability improvements, partner cross-functionally, review designs and code, mentor engineers, and support open-source usability. The role requires extensive experience building production distributed systems, strong technical leadership, backend programming expertise, and operational experience with high-scale systems.

Secure Temporal’s multi-cloud platform across AWS, GCP, and Azure by embedding security into infrastructure and application architecture. Responsibilities include threat modeling, risk assessment, Kubernetes hardening, multi-tenant isolation, gRPC and mTLS security, service mesh configuration, cloud security posture management with Wiz, secrets management, encryption, compliance policy development, engineering partnership, and on-call participation. The role also contributes to responsible AI practices and security for distributed workflow systems.

Lead AI agent optimization efforts by designing systems that improve token efficiency, response time, reliability, and output quality. Build agentic coding systems, develop AI application patterns, own features end to end, collaborate with engineering and field teams, support the developer community, and create public technical documentation. Work across Python, TypeScript, Java, and Go while serving as a domain expert in agent design and optimization.
