Own the architecture, reliability, production operations, and roadmap of Trustly’s Payment Gateway. Lead systems supporting ACH and RTP money movement, banking integrations, rail selection, returns, and reversals. Drive observability, incident response, documentation, AI-assisted development, integration testing, and technical ownership. Partner with distributed engineering teams, help build a new engineering hub, and hire and lead the team responsible for the platform.

Own the architecture, reliability, production operations, and future direction of Trustly’s Settlement and Ledger systems. Lead service design, observability, incident response, reconciliation, and integration testing while using AI tools to understand and improve a mature codebase. Own the architecture, reliability, production operation, and roadmap of Trustly’s Native Connectivity Platform. Lead distributed systems design, observability, incident response, documentation, AI-assisted development, integration testing, and service operations. Learn and take ownership of a critical codebase, partner with global engineers, and help hire and lead the future platform team. The role requires strong financial systems experience, production Java expertise, and experience operating large-scale web or app integrations.

Own the architecture, reliability, operations, and roadmap for API and partner integrations connecting banks, merchants, and consumers. Lead service contracts, observability, incident response, integrations with banking providers, consent and token management, and AI-assisted development. Learn and document a critical codebase, transfer knowledge across regions, and help hire and lead the team responsible for the domain.

Leads risk and fraud analytics covering loss attribution, fraud investigations, recovery strategy, loss forecasting, merchant collateral sizing, and return-rate monitoring. The role owns procedures, remediation plans, analyst performance, workflow improvements, and compliance with NACHA thresholds and internal risk limits.

Own general ledger accounting and financial reporting for Trustly entities in the Americas. Responsibilities include month- and year-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, US GAAP reporting, audit coordination, internal controls, compliance, process improvement, and collaboration with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and other finance teams.

Own customer risk relationships for a portfolio of payments clients, including reporting, approval thresholds, guarantee tiers, remediation, and risk reviews. Shape new deals by assessing volumes, losses, controls, pricing, risk appetite, exposure caps, collateral, and pilots. Explain expected-loss assumptions and performance trends to customers and internal teams, influence pricing and product decisions, support proposals and due diligence, and enable commercial teams. Travel up to 25% in the US and Canada.

Lead and mentor a team building, deploying, and monitoring machine learning models for fraud, account takeover, and ACH return risk. Develop production models and real-time features, design experiments, quantify financial impact, and own model performance and governance. Partner with Risk, Product, Engineering, and Finance on decisioning strategy, loss forecasting, explainability, and system reliability. Hire and develop technical talent while presenting model performance, risks, and roadmap recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Lead and mentor Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers while building production models for fraud, ACH return risk, and account takeover. Own the model roadmap, experimentation, monitoring, governance, and financial impact of risk decisions. Partner with Risk, Product, Engineering, Finance, and executive stakeholders to optimize approval rates, fraud losses, customer experience, and merchant outcomes in a low-latency payments environment.

Leads Trustly’s global information security and IT organizations, defining security strategy, architecture, risk management, compliance, SOC operations, incident response, and resilience programs. Oversees enterprise IT, infrastructure, workplace technology, vendors, disaster recovery, and AI-driven productivity initiatives. Advises the executive team and Board on cyber risk, regulatory requirements, and technology resilience while managing global teams and relationships with regulators, auditors, and strategic partners.

Own Trustly’s global design vision and quality standards across consumer and merchant products. Lead and mentor product designers, establish scalable design culture and processes, oversee the design system, and partner with product and engineering leadership throughout development. Drive user research and usability testing, advocate for design in executive discussions, and communicate its business value. The role emphasizes strong product craft, AI-native prototyping, and experience designing complex or regulated financial products.

Build and maintain Trustly’s AI platform, including LLM infrastructure, prompt management, evaluation pipelines, and agentic workflow tooling. Partner with teams to embed AI into products, establish testing standards, evaluate models and architectures, and drive internal adoption through reusable libraries, documentation, and enablement resources. The role requires staff-level technical leadership, cross-functional influence, and taking AI systems from prototype to reliable production at scale.
