Leads regional marketing and business development strategy for Venable’s California offices. Advises firm and attorney leadership, develops client and market growth plans, oversees pitches and proposals, builds strategic relationships, raises regional visibility, and manages a regional marketing team. The role uses market data, CRM and e-marketing technology, and cross-office collaboration to drive revenue growth, client development, referrals, and operational effectiveness.

Evaluate and resolve conflicts-of-interest for new business intake, matter openings, client updates, and lateral hires. Conduct conflicts analyses using internal systems and external databases, recommend and implement resolution strategies, draft waivers and ethical screens, review Outside Counsel Guidelines, advise attorneys and leadership on ethics and risk, and support conflicts-related onboarding and training.
