The role requires a credentialed veterinary technician with substantial clinical and leadership experience and availability for rotating nights, weekends, and holidays.

Provide warm, empathetic customer interactions in-person, by phone, and online; manage communications and routing of urgent medical calls; process payments and discuss financial/end-of-life options; update clinical teams on customer needs; follow up after visits and create memorable, personalized experiences while working nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced veterinary ER.

Lead and develop the veterinary nursing team, manage daily clinical flow, scheduling, payroll, hiring and onboarding, ensure licensure and medical standards, mentor staff, and support hospital leadership to maintain high-quality emergency patient care.

Build and improve frontend interfaces for DogByte and other internal products used by veterinary hospitals. Own projects from problem framing through production release, collaborate with Design and Product, uphold accessibility and performance standards, evolve shared components and design systems, review technical work, and contribute to backend or full-stack development as needed. Apply AI tools thoughtfully across development workflows while maintaining quality and reliability.

Lead clinical and operational strategy for one or more emergency hospitals: recruit and develop staff, provide emergency and primary veterinary care, coach leaders, monitor KPIs and P&L, manage budgets and referrals, ensure clinical standards, and supervise a large medical and management team with occasional domestic travel.

Serve as a field-based People Business Partner for a regional portfolio of hospitals, coaching leaders on performance and employee relations, driving talent reviews, succession and engagement, using people data to diagnose risks, and partnering with COEs to support change adoption. Requires frequent hospital presence and support for frontline, multi-site operational environments.
