Leads the global DBaaS engineering organization responsible for Yugabyte’s managed, self-managed, and BYOC database services. Owns roadmap delivery, production reliability, security, SRE, incident response, compliance, cloud spend, architecture, and organizational growth. Partners with Product, Support, field teams, and executives while guiding distributed systems design, platform foundations, customer escalations, and development of engineering leaders.

Leads design, development, testing, and delivery of YugabyteDB’s distributed storage, replication, and transaction foundations. Develops C/C++ systems software, resolves correctness and performance issues, improves scalability and throughput, and builds database operations such as backups, schema changes, upgrades, and cluster scale-out. Contributes to open source, participates in design and code reviews, and mentors engineers in distributed systems and performance engineering.

Act as the Meko subject-matter expert to drive adoption and monetization across enterprise accounts. Partner with Account Executives and deployment engineers to identify agent use cases, progress technical and commercial sales cycles, demonstrate business impact, and shape GTM, messaging, and product roadmap through cross-functional collaboration.

The Director of Engineering will lead the development of YugabyteDB, focusing on architecture, scalability, and mentoring teams in distributed database systems.

Design, build, and scale core database features in YugabyteDB, collaborating on distributed query planning, execution, and performance.

The Technical Support Engineer will provide exceptional customer support for YugabyteDB, diagnose issues, document findings, and collaborate with engineering. The role requires bilingual skills, technical background, familiarity with Linux, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, especially during weekends.

Owns month-, quarter-, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, multi-currency accounting, consolidation, and financial statement support. Manages cash positioning, bank activity, payment runs, intercompany funding, and investment reconciliations. Supports audits, tax provision work, compliance, internal controls, SOX readiness, and process automation across global entities.

Lead FP&A activities for a growing SaaS company, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, financial modeling, headcount planning, performance reporting, investment and ROI analysis, and executive and board reporting. Partner with cross-functional leaders to optimize resource allocation, improve financial systems and data integrity, and translate business plans into actionable financial insights.

Partner with account executives to qualify opportunities, deliver tailored demos and architecture deep-dives, lead POC engagements, advise on distributed databases and cloud-native design, create technical collateral, provide customer feedback to product teams, and represent Yugabyte at events.
