About Yugabyte and Meko

Yugabyte is the company behind YugabyteDB, the open source, distributed SQL database for mission-critical, cloud-native applications, trusted by global enterprises in financial services, e-commerce, betting and gaming, and telecommunications. Building on that foundation, Yugabyte has launched Meko, a new AI Data Layer purpose-built for agents, it provides Agents with a shared, persistent memory and knowledge layer, improving context, reducing repeated work, and saving token burn.

As a Series C company entering the next stage of hypergrowth, Yugabyte is investing heavily in Meko as a core pillar of its go-to-market expansion into the AI agent ecosystem.

Role Overview

As a Product Sales Specialist for Meko, you will be the subject matter expert who drives adoption and monetisation of Meko across enterprise accounts. You will partner closely with Account Executives and Forward Deployment Engineers to identify agent-related use cases, build the business case for Meko, and progress the technical and commercial sales cycles from first conversation to close. This is a specialist overlay role: you bring deep AI/agent fluency to deals that Account Executives are already running, and you help shape how customers leverage Meko into their agent stacks.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable in a whiteboard conversation about agent memory architecture and in a boardroom conversation about the business impact and ROI of AI. The individual will actively contribute to sales enablement and GTM strategy as Meko scales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for Meko, building and maintaining relationships with technical and executive stakeholders and shaping how customers think about context and memory for their AI agents.
  • Partner with Account Executives, Forward Deployment Engineers to identify specific agent use cases where Meko solves a customer's context, memory, or reliability challenges, and articulate what differentiates Meko from alternative approaches.
  • Support the development and progression of Meko-specific sales opportunities across your assigned territory
  • Demonstrate measurable business impact of Meko to enterprise stakeholders, translating technical capabilities such as shared context, agent memory, and data consistency into business outcomes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Account Executives, and Engineering to ensure Meko messaging, positioning, and roadmap reflect real customer and market feedback.
  • Build and nurture relationships with customer contacts working on AI agent initiatives, positioning Meko as the preferred AI Data Layer for agentic applications.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Working knowledge of AI agent architectures, LLMs, and the emerging role of memory and context layers in agentic applications.
  • Experience working with Field Sales, Customer Engineers, and cross-functional customer focussed teams.
  • Ability to communicate value-based messaging that resonates with both technical stakeholders (architects, engineers) and business stakeholders (executives, product leaders).
  • Comfort using data and analytics to track performance, forecast accurately, and optimize sales effort.

We work in a hybrid model, with the team together in our Sunnyvale office 2–3 days per week.

As well as equity (when applicable), and benefits including health plans, retirement plans, and unlimited paid time off (PTO). The pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
