Own end-to-end technical recruiting, including sourcing candidates, managing hiring outcomes, improving recruiting processes, building long-term talent pipelines, and partnering with Engineering. This is the first recruiting team member and requires independent work in an early-stage AI and robotics startup. The role is based in-office in San Mateo, California.

Design and implement real-time robotics and autonomy software, including fault-tolerant systems, sensor-fusion pipelines, embedded hardware interfaces, simulation infrastructure, and robotic perception and control. Optimize performance, contribute to machine learning and computer vision, make architecture decisions, and collaborate across software, hardware, and research teams to productionize robotics capabilities.

Design and develop robust mechanical systems for robotic platforms, including mounting systems, electronics enclosures, environmental sealing, structural and thermal solutions, and electromagnetic shielding. Define product and manufacturing strategies, oversee initial production runs, qualify vendors, and collaborate with software, electrical, and robotics teams on system integrations. Mentor future hires and help establish engineering processes and tools.
