Design, optimize, and maintain commercial workflows supporting partner onboarding and ongoing operations. Map processes, identify bottlenecks, recommend improvements, collaborate with Product, Enterprise Systems, Customer Success, and Engineering, monitor performance metrics, and maintain workflow documentation and SOPs. This is a full-time, in-person internship requiring occasional travel to commercial test sites.

Lead Zipline’s global airspace integration policy and regulatory strategy for autonomous drone operations. Engage with the FAA, civil aviation authorities, air navigation providers, standards organizations, and industry groups on UAS, BVLOS, spectrum, UTM, detect-and-avoid, Remote ID, and ADS-B requirements. Translate regulatory developments into compliance, certification, deployment, and product roadmaps while advising leadership on risks, dependencies, market access, and long-term aviation policy.

Drive cross-functional operational improvements by identifying bottlenecks, diagnosing root causes, and delivering scalable fixes. Build dashboards, automations, trackers, and workflows; own end-to-end processes; partner with Operations, Commercial, Data, Product, and Finance; iterate quickly to deliver measurable improvements in speed, decision quality, and execution. Thrive in ambiguity and prioritize impact over bureaucracy.

Product Lead responsible for improving the economics and user experience of Zipline’s marketplace. Partners with engineering, operations, commercial, sales, and leadership teams to identify workflow inefficiencies, prioritize product opportunities, shape roadmaps, guide experimentation, and optimize real-time value tradeoffs. The role requires field research with frontline users, quantitative and qualitative analysis, technical collaboration, and ownership of scalable solutions across logistics and fulfillment operations.

Assist the Technical Writing team with reviewing, editing, restructuring, and updating manuals, procedures, guides, troubleshooting content, and onboarding materials. Improve information architecture and documentation usability, clarify technical concepts, identify content gaps, and collaborate with writers, engineers, and operations partners to validate accuracy and incorporate feedback.

Supports marketplace strategy and operations through site and cohort performance analysis, dashboards, recurring readouts, growth-program prioritization, and monitoring of capacity, fulfillment, utilization, customer experience, and profitability. Partners cross-functionally with Commercial, Operations, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Utilization to identify opportunities, test marketplace levers, measure outcomes, and scale successful programs across Zipline’s delivery network.

Supports electrical distribution and wiring design for autonomous drone delivery ground systems. Assists with NEC-compliant commercial and light-industrial designs, utility coordination, certification documentation, vendor evaluation, risk tracking, site visits, and process improvements. Collaborates with engineering, deployment, construction, and business teams while contributing to scalable charging infrastructure and technical documentation.

Own and grow a focused portfolio of strategic partnerships from launch through expansion and performance management. Build executive and cross-functional relationships, develop market and account expansion plans, monitor performance metrics, identify growth opportunities, lead business reviews, and translate partner needs into internal action plans. The role requires analytical judgment, executive communication, stakeholder management, commercial acumen, and comfort navigating ambiguity across complex logistics partnerships.

Own the end-to-end release process for software, hardware, and integrated autonomous delivery systems. Coordinate scope, configuration, dependencies, validation, risk, readiness, sign-off, and deployment across teams. Lead release forums, resolve blockers, improve release processes, and develop metrics and dashboards that provide accurate release-health assessments. Facilitate technical decisions and cross-functional execution across engineering, operations, and leadership.

Own strategic enterprise accounts and drive complex sales from prospecting through contract execution and launch. Build executive relationships, develop business cases, manage multi-year negotiations, expand pilots into scaled deployments, and achieve revenue targets across healthcare, retail, logistics, food and beverage, and consumer services. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Operations, Legal, Finance, Regulatory, Implementation, and Customer Success teams to deliver autonomous delivery solutions.

Build and own a scalable operational platform supporting site acquisition, permitting, construction, deployment tracking, and launch readiness. Design APIs, data models, workflows, integrations, and production services with strong auditability, observability, reliability, and recovery. Partner cross-functionally with operational teams, replace manual processes, ship measurable improvements, participate in on-call and incident response, and mentor engineers while remaining hands-on in software development.

Build tools for visualizing hardware changes, evaluating compatibility across product revisions, and summarizing hardware capabilities. Develop a user interface for submitting engineering changes, standardizing information, reducing errors, and generating clear change summaries. Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, define workflows, validate data, and support high-volume change management for new product introduction and manufacturing operations.

The role requires gathering requirements, translating complex product dependencies into workflows and dashboards, validating data, documenting technical outputs, and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders. This is a full-time, in-person internship in South San Francisco from January through April 2027.

Edit short- and medium-form videos for social, web, events, presentations, internal communications, product launches, technical explainers, customer stories, and brand content. Responsibilities include story construction, pacing, dialogue and sound editing, color correction, motion-graphics integration, versioning, captions, technical quality control, media organization, and delivery. The editor collaborates with producers, cinematographers, motion designers, communications, marketing, engineers, and operators.

Create and animate motion graphics for social, brand video, product launches, explainers, events, web, and presentations. Translate technical concepts and creative briefs into storyboards, style frames, animatics, and polished 2D/3D animation. Collaborate with communications, brand, marketing, engineers, operators, producers, editors, and cinematographers. Integrate motion with live-action footage, maintain reusable templates and organized project files, and adapt assets across formats while preserving quality and brand consistency.

Capture high-quality footage for brand, social, product, technical, documentary, event, and internal communications. Plan and execute camera, lighting, grip, sound, and media workflows across solo, small-crew, and larger productions. Collaborate with producers, editors, motion designers, communications, marketing, engineers, and operators. Maintain equipment readiness, media integrity, metadata, technical quality, safety, and reliable handoffs while traveling approximately 30%.

Design and maintain C++ firmware for aircraft microcontrollers and embedded Linux systems. Develop communication interfaces, reusable platform components, real-time scheduling, fault handling, recovery, monitoring, and troubleshooting capabilities. Build Rust-based tooling and software-in-the-loop simulations to validate firmware. Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, embedded Linux, and systems engineers to deliver safe, reliable software for globally deployed autonomous aircraft.

Build and operate scalable infrastructure for Zipline’s machine learning lifecycle, including data ingestion, dataset management, training, evaluation, monitoring, and deployment. Improve reproducibility, observability, orchestration, and performance across autonomy-focused ML workflows. The role requires production software engineering in Python, cloud and on-premise infrastructure experience, Kubernetes, ML frameworks, and strong ownership of secure, mission-critical systems.
