Full-time Fall 2026 internship building full-stack internal systems that power manufacturing, supply chain, finance, inventory, QA, and field operations. Design and ship backend services, APIs, data models, and user interfaces; collaborate with engineers, product stakeholders, and end users; use modern engineering practices and AI-assisted tooling; present internship impact. Onsite in South San Francisco (Sept–Dec).

Lead AI strategy and delivery for supply chain operations, building AI-assisted workflows, prototypes, and production products to improve supplier management, material planning, inventory health, sourcing, and manufacturing readiness. Partner cross-functionally to develop data foundations, governance, adoption, and measurable KPIs for AI-enabled supply chain tools.

Lead design, build, commission, and release of production fixtures, tooling, and EOL test equipment for aircraft and electro-mechanical subsystems. Improve uptime, cycle time, and FPY; mentor tooling engineers; run vendor RFQs and acceptance testing; coordinate cross-functionally and perform on-floor debugging and commissioning.

Own ground test strategy for the droid and zipping point interaction: design/build mechanical test fixtures and life-test rigs, develop electrical instrumentation and DAQ, write Python automation for data logging and pass/fail evaluation, run test campaigns from prototype to production, and triage cross-domain failures while supporting supplier deployments.

Embed with Marketing, Commercial, and Growth teams to analyze customer behavior, define KPI frameworks, build dashboards and self-service reporting, translate analyses into recommendations, monitor performance, improve data quality, and automate recurring reporting using AI-enabled workflows to drive Platform 2 growth.

Lead design, deployment, and sustainment of SIL/HIL/EOLT test systems for long-range drones. Build orchestration software, automation, data capture, and dashboards; integrate with embedded hardware and instrumentation; drive root-cause analyses, CI validation gates, and production readiness. Support on-call rotations and field/manufacturing installations, targeting measurable improvements in test coverage, cycle time, and defect escape rates.

Lead end-to-end IT program delivery for site openings, relocations, and workplace technology. Own intake/prioritization, launch-readiness gates, vendor SLAs, cross-functional coordination, runbooks, and 90-day stabilization to ensure secure, supportable, and monitored operations at scale.

Drive cross-functional operational improvements by identifying bottlenecks, diagnosing root causes, and delivering scalable fixes. Build dashboards, automations, trackers, and workflows; own end-to-end processes; partner with Operations, Commercial, Data, Product, and Finance; iterate quickly to deliver measurable improvements in speed, decision quality, and execution. Thrive in ambiguity and prioritize impact over bureaucracy.

Lead technical integration of Dropbox hardware and software into partner sites: translate workflows into product requirements, define site archetypes and constraints, create interface-control documents and state machines, support pilots and deployments, and ensure safe, repeatable installation, commissioning, and telemetry-driven recovery.

Design and ship end-to-end GenAI tools for operational workflows across aviation, logistics, maintenance, and commercial teams. Partner with operators and product teams to define requirements, build production AI systems (LLMs, data pipelines, analytics), deploy solutions, iterate with users, and integrate learnings into company AI tooling and best practices. May travel up to 50% to HQ or field sites.

Support the Communications team with PR planning and execution, media monitoring, content and messaging development, social listening and coverage analysis, event support, research, and cross-functional collaboration to advance Zipline's U.S. and global storytelling.

Own launch readiness and lifecycle execution for new aircraft and major hardware changes. Create integrated launch plans, set release-readiness gates, track schedule/cost/quality/risk, manage supplier and retrofit planning, resolve build and field issues, and make go/no-go decisions to ensure safe, maintainable, and scalable fleet deployments.

Own and execute integrated launch plans for charging locations and partner sites from approval through first delivery. Coordinate cross-functional workstreams (infrastructure, permitting, flight ops, maintenance, regulatory, commercial, community engagement), establish readiness gates and playbooks, track milestones and blockers, lead field launches, run retrospectives, and transition sites to stable, scalable operations.

Administer and maintain Zipline's Siemens PLM and CAD ecosystem (Teamcenter, NX). Monitor application health, triage incidents, coordinate with Siemens and vendors, perform root-cause analysis, manage user provisioning and license allocation, maintain environments and runbooks, and coordinate patches/upgrades to ensure reliable engineering workflows.

As Head of Strategic Finance for Africa, you will lead financial strategy, planning, and performance management, serving as a financial partner to regional leadership and building a high-impact team.

Support core accounting tasks including journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end and quarter-close support, data entry and cleanup, fixed asset tracking and reconciliation, and cross-functional collaboration with operations, procurement, and manufacturing. Gain exposure to international accounting operations and Zipline's finance systems.

Partner with Global Operations leaders to own forecasting, variance analysis, driver-based models, and decision-support analyses. Build scalable reporting, translate operational context into financial insight, identify cost and utilization improvements, and support planning, consolidation, and leadership decision-making across maintenance, flight operations, supply chain, launch, and support functions.

Lead manufacturing strategy and operations efforts: develop capacity, labor, facility and equipment plans; build scenario models and business cases; establish operating rhythms, metrics and dashboards; enable executive decisions; and run cross-functional programs to scale factory capacity, productivity, quality, and organizational readiness. Onsite factory role.

Lead development and operations of automated weather intelligence for mission go/no-go decisions. Translate meteorological uncertainty into operational limits, validate models via simulation and flight tests, set SLAs and metrics, run incident response/on-call, and hire/manage a small technical team to improve uptime and delivery throughput.

Own end-to-end production planning for aircraft manufacturing lines: translate build targets into daily schedules, ensure material readiness, manage BOM changes, align labor, run daily cadence, drive KPIs (on-time builds, yield, WIP), coordinate cross-functionally, and lead recovery and continuous improvement to meet committed ship dates.
