Senior Analyst, Research & Strategy Analytics (Member Value)
About the role
As a Senior Analyst you will help own the framework that Chime uses to measure the value of its member-base. The Research and Strategy team ensures Chime is properly valuing our members to enable sound financial decisions, better marketing campaigns, and holistic product experimentation. Measuring customer value at Chime requires deep partnership with finance, product, marketing, and other operational teams as well as predictive modeling and data management capabilities. In this role, you play a role in all aspects of this process.
This job cannot be performed in the state of Colorado.
In this role, you can expect to
- Own the ongoing development and analysis of customer lifetime value as a metric that will be used by other analytics teams and stakeholders around the company including finance, product, risk, and member services.
- Balance the right statistical method with the business need to sequence implementation steps.
- Ask why a lot. Your proactive inquisitiveness, supported by your data dexterity, means you’re building the right pipeline for both today and for tomorrow.
- Partner-widely. You colloratorate with other members of the analytics team (finance, data engineering, product, marketing, or BI analysts) and stakeholders across the company.
To thrive in this role, you have
- 5+ years in a data-focused role, performing deep-dive analyses and defining key business metrics.
- Experience building customer lifetime value models that become durable tools for organizational decision-making.
- Expertise in SQL - you translate business questions to queries, understand the edge cases of joins, and explore a warehouse to find the data you need with ease.
- Knowledge of a scripting language (python or R) for data analysis.
- Sound statistical inference skills, with the ability to communicate uncertainty. appropriately to business stakeholders.
- A focus on impact - you don’t stop with just recommendations but ensure to see work through to changing the business.
