Title: Product Designers
Duties: The Product Designers (Multiple Positions Open) at Chime Financial, Inc. in San Francisco, California will work closely with product managers, engineers, user researchers, and product marketers to design innovative banking experiences for our members focusing on the graphic design tasks, such as web design and computer application design. Product Designers will uncover acute user needs and problems, identify potential solutions, determine scope of a project, and execute details for delivery. The designers focus specifically on tasks including, but not limited to: user research, including member calls, pulling quantitative data; service design, including user personas, user journeys; brand design, including definition of brand identity, voice, typeface, colors, logo; interaction design, including information architecture and user flow; graphic and visual design, including creation of visual hierarchies, icons, illustrations; user interface design, including creation of buttons, controls, form fields; web design, including layout for websites and landing pages; mobile design, including layout for screens within the two native Chime mobile apps, as well as mobile web; motion design, including animation and prototyping; and industrial design, including layouts for our credit / debit cards, mailers, and envelopes. Product designers use a variety of software and tools, including, but not limited to: Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, Principle and Invision.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, Advertising, or a directly related field plus 2 years of experience designing and implementing web design across touchpoints. The 2 years of experience must include 2 years of experience with each of the following: (1) designing and implementing native and non-native mobile application design for various mobile platforms; and (2) collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring consumer products to market. Must also have 1 year of experience with each of the following: (1) qualitative and quantitative research methods; (2) collaborating with user research to understand user needs including surveys, interviews, and monthly member calls; (3) usability testing with end users to iterate on product design, such as moderated task analysis; (4) gathering data inputs and analytics using programs including Looker or Mixpanel.
