The Role

Job Description
We are looking for an experienced, motivated Digital Acquisition Copywriter to join our growing team! This high-impact role is responsible for creating original direct response copy that will help us uncover new insights about our core audiences.

What you'll do:

  • Produce clear, engaging copy for digital direct response creative across multiple channels, including paid social, display, native, search, email, advertorials, etc. Present your work to stakeholders and be able to explain the intention behind each of your concept and copy choices.
  • Develop detailed storyboards for various types of short-form video; effectively be able to convey the story and compel action.
  • Collaborate with Performance Creative team members, channel partners, and BU stakeholders for full alignment and clarity before starting any work.
  • Independently manage your projects from start to finish, keeping all stakeholders up to date on status at each milestone.
  • Dive deep into each of the channels we advertise in to understand distinct user mindsets, marketing complexities, best practices, and copy requirements to develop effective, channel-specific creative.
  • Ensure all copy you write is error-free, maintains a consistent voice (adheres to brand guidelines), and is compliant with all regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Stay on top of creative acquisition trends across the digital and competitive landscape, identifying opportunities to test; share learnings and best practices with the team to inspire creative ideas.
  • Proactively engage in creative performance conversations; contribute new ideas for testing (themes, concepts, etc.) and find creative solutions to identified issues.
  • Gain a deep understanding of unique channel dynamics and challenges; unlock creative opportunities to drive performance and meet ROI goals.
  • Streamline and/or build out processes wherever possible to improve team efficiencies.
  • Build a deep knowledge of our brand(s) and products.
  • Work within an agile and iterative cycle of hypothesize, test, and learn to uncover new insights about our audiences.


Qualifications
What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Passion for writing with an excellent portfolio of digital direct response examples
  • 2+ years in a digital direct response creative role; must have experience writing ad copy for paid social channels
  • Storyteller at heart, you are committed to connecting with another human in a way that is authentic, relevant, and effective at driving action.
  • Experience building out storyboards and producing short-form videos (i.e. TikTok, Reels, etc.); content creation a plus!
  • Ability to juggle a variety of projects and meet (or exceed) all deadlines under pressure
  • Resourceful, self-starter who embraces creative challenges and is solutions-focused
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills (crucial in a remote team dynamic)
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high quality, high performing, error-free copy each and every, single time
  • Stellar organizational skill with a knack for optimizing processes that improve overall efficiencies
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and embraces failure as a great way to learn how to be better
  • Knowledge of online marketing performance KPIs and metrics
  • Receptive to feedback; possess a strong desire to learn and get better every day


Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in financial services and/or another highly regulated industry
  • Experience with customer segmentation models and journey mapping
  • Experience working in ads manager/campaign platforms for Meta, TikTok, GDN, etc.

Salary Range: $60,000 to $73,000 annually + bonus + benefits. This information represents the expected salary range for this role. Should we decide to make an offer for employment, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
