Divvy’s Marketing and Communications Team is hiring an exceptional Marketing Brand Strategist to own our creative iteration process and launch new channels, campaigns, and experiments to drive measurable improvements in Divvy’s brand awareness, consideration, and acquisition via channels. This person’s ability to identify and understand our customer, develop the creative content required to connect with that audience, and launch campaigns to draw in those customers is central to the role. Whether developing engaging social media content, writing and posting education blog content, or evolving Divvy’s advertising campaigns in partnership with their growth-minded co-workers, this person is a creative leader that the team looks to on a daily basis.


The Marketing Brand Strategist will build our creative testing process to measure relative performance of new assets, and the feedback loops with cross functional partners to improve future creative. This person will develop Brand’s performance metrics and will report out on the success of their efforts monthly using those metrics. The ideal candidate isn’t afraid of signing up for such results - they are confident in their ability to set a benchmark and exceed expectations.


This person will work cross functionally with channel owners, brand and creative counterparts, and external agencies as part of their responsibilities. The most successful candidates have years of experience helping small start-ups scale their brand/messaging frameworks. The Brand Creative Strategist will also work hand-in-hand with Divvy’s Brand Creative Director from the Design team, serving as the critical link between the two roles. 



Responsibilities


- Implement and conduct customer research to identify Divvy’s target audience, customer behaviors, barriers, and beliefs.

- Define brand and marketing strategies based on business goals & customer insights.

- Seamlessly synthesizing data to inform hypothesis-based thinking for marketing and branding approaches.

- Connect our data and analytics to customer insights, sharing such information with Marketing and the rest of the organization.

- Work with Brand Creative Director to author messaging frameworks for campaigns spanning our brand, product and audience ecosystem. 

- Find compelling narratives around our brand and customers that capture the attention and imaginations of our stakeholders and customers. A strong command of writing in order to pull messaging through to different audiences and channels.

- Partner with our Paid Marketing Managers to identify and seize opportunities, generate insights, balance the customer experience with company goals and metrics.

- Clearly and accurately measure the success of your efforts. You can effortlessly quantify your impact, and how your contribution led to success.

- Develop a budget, timeline, and requirements for creative testing in tandem with Brand’s Creative Director. 


Work Experience


- 6+ years of business experience in Brand Strategy, Strategic Planning, or Brand Marketing function.

- A degree in Marketing or Design from a top tier university.

- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research to develop strategic insights for a variety of marketing initiatives including digital/mobile/social, direct marketing, customer acquisition, and customer management.

- Ability to think about high level strategy, but also a focus on details and execution.

- A degree in Marketing or Design from a top tier university

- Comfortable in a rapidly changing and fast pace environment.

- Willing to knock down walls in order to hit your KPIs / goals.
