YOUR MISSION

As an Events Marketing Manager, you will be a critical member of the MURAL Marketing team, driving planning, and delivery of our marketing events and virtual programs in alignment with our revenue goals. A dynamic and innovative experiential marketer, you will seek out and test new and creative ways to drive collaboration, cultivate community and delight our members through our event and virtual experience strategy. You will imagine new ways to leverage technology to drive connection with our users and improve event delivery. 

An effective cross-functional teammate, you will partner with stakeholders in marketing, creative, and more to bring our programs strategy for branded and sponsored events to life.You’ll lead program retrospectives, examine the efficacy of programs on a financial and execution basis, and report on impact to stakeholders across the business. 

  • Drive alignment with cross-functional counterparts, understanding shared goals and cultivating a unified vision for how we engage our prospects and customers through events and virtual experiences
  • In addition to engaging with cross-functional teams, the Events Marketing Manager will also engage directly with partners and customers to coordinate activities
  • Assist in creation of event content and experience in partnership with Content Marketing and Creative 
  • Project manage programs to the task-level detail, and manage input and approvals of assets (contracts, emails, landing pages, promotion messages)
  • Further define business goals for each event and create visibility of outcomes across the company 
  • Own event budgets, evaluate expenses, and look for opportunities to increase efficiencies and cost savings
  • Own event calendar, including communicating key timelines and priorities on a per event basis, ensuring it aligns with marketing initiatives and campaigns (social, emails, activations, etc)
  • Lead and manage event vendors, attendees, staff, and schedule (both virtually and on-site)
  • Work to widen our visibility, expand our networking opportunities, and increase our touch points with high-priority targets, leads, and customers (dependent upon event goal)
  • Escalate and flag issues as needed

YOUR PROFILE

The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics:

  • 5+ years of experience working on event and virtual marketing programs in a SaaS company 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high growth software company where change is a constant
  • Proven experience carrying out concurrent event marketing efforts
  • Experience with account based marketing programs and the Saas sales cycle
  • Strong Salesforce and Marketing Automation experience (Marketo is a plus)
  • Analytical acumen and experience using tools like Tableau or PowerBI to report on performance
  • Excellent communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking to a wide range of needs and audiences
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment to deliver results and collaborate comfortably with senior leaders across Marketing, Sales, Finance and other functions
  • Understanding of marketing functions in a B2B environment (i.e., field marketing, digital marketing, etc.)
  • Proven program and project management skills
  • Ability to work successfully with little guidance
  • Cross-culturally aware and sensitive to working with global teams
