Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

About this Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, and self-directed product marketing leader to define and drive Sprig’s product marketing function. You will report to our Head of Marketing and closely partner with our product and sales team to define, influence, and drive go-to-market strategy for our products and market segments.

Sprig has achieved incredible product-market fit with consumer technology companies. As the Head of Product Marketing, you will contribute to the company’s overarching positioning and messaging strategy while building a team that can bring that narrative to life through our website, product launches, sales enablement, and the product itself.

Your Impact

  • Collaborate with the Head of Marketing to evolve the company’s overarching positioning and messaging strategy as the market and company evolves. Deeply understand market needs by segment to build unique and differentiated messaging and positioning, including buyer personas and key use cases, that are in line with Sprig’s overarching narrative and voice.
  • Build and scale the team that supports product marketing across all of Sprig’s product offerings and personas, and executes product marketing initiatives via our website, product launches, sales enablement, and product messaging.
  • Manage all product marketing deliverables, including writing briefs, product launch plans, case studies, and competitive landscape materials. While initially creating some product marketing content yourself, you’ll immediately build out a team to support your vision.
  • Develop an expert understanding of Sprig’s products to inform messaging, positioning, and narrative storytelling. Build training and processes to ensure new product marketing hires onboard efficiently and become product experts quickly.
  • Own competitive research to refine our view of the customer and competitive landscape, and influence decisions regarding the roadmap and go-to-market strategy. Gather qualitative feedback and data points from our front line business (including Sprig!), and work to improve our messaging accordingly.
  • Ensure the product marketing team works collaboratively with the Demand Generation team to bring product launches to market in an integrated, multi-channel way. Understand how product marketing content (eg. Case studies) accelerates the sales process and help to manage, influence, and distribute content accordingly across the GTM organization.
  • Evaluate and optimize team processes and frameworks to improve the effectiveness of product launches and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Measure the impact of Sprig's product marketing content by analyzing its influence on website conversion, initial sales meetings, and pipeline generation.

Your Strengths

  • Strategy: You are able to think big picture about the high level goals we are looking to achieve, and work backwards to develop a plan.
  • Leadership: You’re an experienced leader or excited by the potential of growing and supporting a team of product marketing managers.
  • Storytelling: You’re an exceptional storyteller. You love coming up with product marketing storylines that will resonate with your audience and bringing those ideas to life
  • Writing: Website copy, product launch materials, product copy––whatever it is you’re skilled in coming up with the right words to promote a message. You have exceptional proofreading, editing, and writing skills.
  • Cross-Functional: You’re able to work cross-functionally and maintain consistent communication across team and departments.
  • Organizational: You have great project management, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Analytical: You enjoy tying the work that you do to results.
