We’ve designed a full-stack, vertically integrated model that aligns incentives with stakeholders and offers a seamless way to own high-yield rental homes entirely online. As we succeed together, we will play a key role in closing the wealth gap.

Doorvest has raised almost $20m from founders/execs at top fintech companies such as Invitation Homes, Wealthfront, Sundae Homes, Opendoor and many others.

The Role:

Doorvest is looking for a Marketing Associate to join our team! In this role, you will have a direct impact on our story, empowering individuals to build wealth through a simplified real estate investing process that's entirely online. You will expand your skills beyond digital, but also within the traditional media space (direct mail, etc).

You will engage, empower and educate our Doorvestors about the company, real estate and personal finance through crafting campaigns through email, social posts, blogs and responding to our community on forums, social media, and fb groups. You will help with cultivating and establishing Doorvest's brand awareness and credibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Storyteller: 70% of our customers are first time home-buyers, their first time buying a home is a rental home and they are looking to be empowered by Doorvest with knowledge on the landscape of real estate. You will help with creating thought leadership through writing content for email, blogs, and PR and then distribution across our various marketing channels. You'll be able to identify trends that are relevant to Doorvest and the real estate, personal finance, or investing space.
  • Community Architecture: As a marketing team member, you will lean into your writing and communication skills to interact with our customers, community, internal and external stakeholders. Imagine hosting Doorvestor events or meet ups, engaging with our community via forums, fb groups and more. Hold onto our "Door is Always Open" to keep conversations open, honest, kind, and transparent.
  • PR - You will drive Doorvest's coverage through strong relationships with reporters, journalists and contacts and identify areas of opportunity for speaking and engagement opportunities for the leadership team.
  • Ownership: We talk a lot about ownership here at Doorvest - as a start up, you have full autonomy and ownership to execute and see through your projects. WIth this comes a need to have superb project management and collaboration skills. Imagine owning and managing end-to-end content creation process across social media, our blog, performance channels, and email. This includes creation of copy, headlines, creative graphic assets, and more. Often times, your projects will require you working cross-functionally with team members or agencies to get things done.
  • Analytical: You will be analytical enough to be able to pull reports, review and deliver insights on the campaigns. A plus if have knowledge about Google Analytics, and SEO.
  • Scrappy: A lot of things we work on in marketing is highly experimental and have never been done before at Doorvest. Be scrappy enough to find information and learn quickly to execute on a project.

We Are Looking For Teammates Who Have:

  • Ownership mentality - all Doorvest team members are granted significant equity in the company and we expect team members to have high levels of ownership. This means no hard budgets, micromanagement, etc.
  • Hungry - we're looking for folks that are eager to learn and constantly scouting for opportunities to push the company forward, this will ultimately lead to outsized success for the company and individual's personal development.
  • Rolling with the punches - early-stage startups are extremely rewarding but things are not always glitz and glamour. Behind the scenes, there are many challenges we must overcome to bring to life something that's never previously existed into the world.
  • Organized, tech savvy, and quick learner, ability to pick up tools like: Hubspot, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Monday.com etc.
  • Must be interested in Personal Finance or Real Estate
  • You’re highly self-motivated, have a stellar work ethic, and you’re looking for the right company to support your growth
  • A positive attitude, a collaborative spirit, and a strong desire to achieve their goals.

Compensation : $65,000 - $75,000

As an early team member, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a scrappy, close knit team in an energetic environment. We believe this role is mission critical and will be offering substantial equity.
