Job Description
What you get to do in this role:
- Lead and manage the engineering team to deliver various People centric capabilities from Hire to Retire.
- Help architect and design capabilities for People team using external SAAS products (examples: SmartRecruiters, iCIMS, Yello and other TA products) by integrating with the ServiceNow application.
- Work on integrations of TA systems with various systems like Workday, ServiceNow and other systems.
- Own and communicate clear value proposition, team vision, go-to-market strategy, and roadmap
- Help building the best user interface and user experience capabilities for the end users.
- Have a strong understanding of business functionality and problems and ensures that the systems are built with the best design and features that scale and perform well.
- Help planning projects with effort estimates, timelines, resourcing and instance planning strategy for applications.
- Lead teams through 3rd party vendor evaluation selection process.
- Guide and coach the team on right coding standards and best testing strategies to deliver quality applications.
- Responsible for software development and guiding software engineers (including offshore resources) in developing cloud-based custom applications on the ServiceNow Platform.
- Build career path for the team by working closely with the engineers to understand their personal goals and coaching them on how they can excel in their role. Build a trusted relationship with the team.
- Build proofs-of-concept (POC) for potential new solutions and technologies.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- 5 years of experience building teams as well as hiring and developing people.
- Experience and interest in leading regional and global distributed teams, including offshore.
- Ability to lead and work collaboratively with People business team and have strong influencing skills
- Enjoyed mentoring and coaching the team to achieve career goals.
- Experience identifying opportunities to improve team efficiency and effectiveness through automation.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize.
- Experience working with programming languages like Java/J2EE or C# or equivalent languages and a good understanding of JavaScript.
- Experience working with integration Webservices like REST and SOAP using JSON and XML payload formats.
- Strong understanding of Front end/UI capabilities like HTML, CSS, Angular JS/React JS, JQuery etc.
- Knowledge in ServiceNow platform (strong plus)
- Experience in deploying projects using Agile general principles and continually develop software.
- Knowledge in HR functionality (strong plus)
- Excellent written, presentation and communication skills.

A required in office work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office. This persona is required to work from their assigned workplace location 100% of the work week based on the business needs of their role.
Flexible
A flexible work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office and will work from their assigned workplace location roughly 3 days/week or less (generally around 40-60% of the work week). Flexible employees may choose to work the remaining working time from their workplace location or home. Flexible employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
Remote
A remote work persona is defined as an employee who performs their responsibilities exclusively outside of a ServiceNow workplace and is not contracted or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office, including those whose place of work (pursuant to their terms and conditions of employment) is their home. Remote employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
