Job Description
Storytelling has changed. Content marketing and customer journeys are not always linear-and sometimes, they can look like a bowl of spaghetti. So, we're creating a unique brand story that matches an unpredictable path, and our nurtures prove "on and off-ramps" that fit our complex Buyer's Journey work.
Good stories have a beginning, middle, and end. However, we're looking for someone to take a dry tech story and transform it into a narrative that our Instagram followers will love, even if they don't know what a webhook is. So, we want to produce top-notch, story-driven content for a CIO or someone who doesn't know what "drag and drop" features are.
You have the opportunity to help elevate the content world at Freshworks. Your success is directly linked to content development, execution, and editing to give us a powerful voice. We're creating something big. We are looking for someone to make our brand a household name to create raving fans and a 360-degree view of our personas.
On a personal side, we're so agile that we have 15-minute meetings that only last ten minutes, and we expect our content to be similar: easy to read and shareable. But, to be effective, you'll be leveraging existing technology, governance, and "how-tos" to make them better. For instance: you can reuse, repackage, reformat, and redistribute anything your heart desires. Ultimately, you will transform silos into integrated teams.
In this role, you will be a storyteller with heart, have a solid technical background, and have the drive to write all day. You will take our drab words and breathe new life into them. Also, you'll be setting up governance and best practices for content creation.
Here are more things you can bring to the table:
• Identify new nurture streams and triggers to execute better customer journeys.
• Plan strategy that builds our brand into what some might consider a trusted friend.
• Then execute that strategy across web, email, social, and collateral at each stage of the Buyer's Journey...
• Empower content creators to do their best work and to keep pushing until we've exhausted all A/B testing.
Scale our brand awareness
• Take a bull horn to our voice and promote it to internal teams and external platforms, services, and products.
• Be a partner with the content, marketing, sales, and C-Suite teams to understand our business inside and out.
• Build trust in the brand and deliver measurable economic value for Freshworks.
Drive relevancy in the market
• Create compelling content that helps potential customers better understand their problems and find ideal solutions.
• Write and edit content that drives relevance by consistently producing the right assets at the right time for the targeted channels.
• Ensure consistent, coordinated storytelling throughout the full marketing funnel.
Increase engagement and traffic to our website
• Grow organic reach, impressions, and engagement across all digital channels by producing content and strategy that inspires.
• Help generate more leads earlier in a journey.
Improve web conversions
• Nurture leads more effectively with personalized content that is tightly connected.
• Increase leads from free trials and gated forms by delivering compelling content: web, email, social, ebooks, reports, and whitepapers.
• Create brand loyalty among key stakeholders: customers, prospects, candidates, analysts.
Qualifications
• 6+ years of writing at a tech company or comparable experience.
• Bachelors or higher education.
• 2 + years as a Director, Manager, Leader, or Principal consultant.
• Hands-on technical experience is highly desired, especially with CRMs, Marketing Automation platforms, Help Desk platforms, and integrations.
• Consider yourself a storyteller and very passionate about writing.
• An influential leader who wants to see people thrive.
• Have a "CEO mentality" which requires little to no handholding.
