GRAIL is seeking a Stakeholder Engagement Associate Director to become part of the external affairs team, reporting into the Director of Stakeholder Engagement. This individual will help lead GRAIL initiatives to drive awareness of multi-cancer early detection, identify and execute on engagement opportunities, and earn a respected role across key opinion leaders to help shape the value of multi-cancer early detection. Developing business relationships with key influencers and executive leadership, while creating an engaging and sustainable customer experience across a broad range of stakeholders, is critical to success. The ability to juggle the development of customer relations and project-based initiatives will be expected. This individual will possess a science-based background with a proven track record of implementing new technology and/or diagnostic solutions into the healthcare market. Without exception, this role requires a positive, team-based attitude that is ready to bring a new shift in healthcare that could impact patient outcomes globally.

This role is remote based, with 50% travel expected.

You Will:

  • Take a leadership role in ensuring the operational success of a multi-stakeholder engagement initiative aimed to bring awareness and education of multi-cancer early detection
  • Help support the coordination and design of monthly, quarterly, and year-end meetings with executive-level stakeholders, across multiple organizations. This includes activities such as calendar coordinations, agenda builds, finalizing presentations, and ensuring technology requirements are in place for successful meetings.
  • Manage third-party vendors to meet business goals and objectives. Provide clear, goal-oriented updates to GRAIL executives leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Network with various established stakeholders to develop a breadth and depth of relationships within each organization to ensure an understanding of each stakeholder’s objectives, goals, drivers and challenges
  • Work closely with GRAIL cross-functional teams to align on stakeholder management, including GRAIL UK
  • Be a valued resource to all of the identified stakeholders, representing GRAIL’s science, technology, and portfolio of assets and services
  • Understand and anticipate stakeholder goals and needs across the system of care and identify opportunities to develop and deliver resources, working closely with internal partners
  • Help identify, shape, and execute on additional project opportunities, within the healthcare community, that supports the contribution of evidence and education for providers and patients.
  • Develop and own key strategic relationships through strong collaboration and coordination with other GRAIL roles that also support these stakeholders
  • Maintain a future focus on emerging trends and patient care needs in cancer early detection, uncovering and reporting opportunities to help shape GRAIL’s approach to the market
  • Have a positive, solution-oriented working mentality that excels in a team approach to drive meaningful change

Your Background Should Include:

  • BS/BA degree preferably with a science/ healthcare major and/or advanced science, public health or allied healthcare degree. MBA is preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years in the healthcare industry with demonstrated strong account/stakeholder management experience, with documented success in influencing change and becoming a trusted partner
  • Established relationships across oncology stakeholders (academia, advocacy, providers) in the US market preferred
  • Successful development of customer relationships, centered on identified mutual interests, including the ability to effectively represent organizational/product value to executive levels of management and key thought leaders
  • Innovative thinking and exceptional business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills with the ability to lead executive leadership meetings
  • Strong understanding of compliance-related concepts including the laws, regulations and policies that govern marketing and sales activities and the importance of compliance in all job-related functions
  • Ability to understand, distill and communicate complex scientific and public health related concepts
  • Experience in partnership models and alliances across the healthcare ecosystem.
  • Oncology and diagnostic/genomic experience are strongly preferred
  • Track record of working with objective-based goals and success in achieving them
