Director of Technical Project Management, Engineering (Multiple Locations)

The Director of Technical Project Management, Engineering is responsible for ensuring that Evidation delivers strategic value throughout the course of implementing new, high-impact health programs. Reporting to the Sr. Director of the Infrastructure and Operations, this individual will work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders at Evidation Health, as well as with strategic external partners to align program and product offerings, and ensure that deliverables meet the project’s objectives and timelines. This role requires a broad range of skills, including, but not limited to, relationship management, cross-functional communications, resource analysis, complex problem solving, project scoping, and team building. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create an Engineering Project Management Office(PMO) function to focus on increasing the velocity of our engineering teams and the quality of our products
- Define and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPI) targets for organizational effectiveness and efficiency
- Ensure project plans and schedules are accurate and complete for all active projects
- Create a 'Center of Excellence' to nurture program management practitioners and share knowledge of industry best practices
- Lead activities to make the development process leaner and more agile
- Set individual and team goals, employee development plans, and complete annual performance reviews
- Monitor, measure, and report on project portfolio performance via reporting to multiple levels within the organization
- Monitor resources project pipeline to ensure adequate PM coverage is available
- Accountable to meet deadlines or provide appropriate advance notice if project tolerances and timelines are not met
- Assess strengths and deficits of project management processes and standards and make recommendations for improvement
- Create an environment that encourages and rewards teamwork, collaboration and encourages employee engagement
- Assist in business process re-engineering initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, related degree or related experience
- PMI, PSM, or Scrum Alliance certification preferred
- Experience in forming and running a PMO
- Strong organizational, administrative and project coordination skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to listen, collaborate and build relationships with staff, clients, remote colleagues, supervisors, and others
- Proven ability to effectively communicate when speaking and in writing, present to small groups and provide guidance and support to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Able to, both independently and collaboratively, solve problems, make decisions, and support change, exercise sound judgment, ask questions and be open to the input and decisions of others
- 10+ years’ of project/program management experience, with technical application and consumer facing software experience preferred
