We are seeking a technical leader and expert in hardware development who will help build the future of Meraki hardware with a focus on Value Engineering (VE) efforts by exploring cost reduction opportunities across all Meraki products & drive margin improvements.

Our Hardware Program Managers lead all products and control every aspect of creation. From architecture and initial sketches through detailed design and the final drive to mass and sustaining production, nothing escapes the HWPM’s sphere of influence and responsibility.  You Will:

  • Explore cost reduction/VE opportunities across all Meraki hardware platforms
  • Develop a quarterly roadmap for VE programs, present cost savings and VE roadmap to Sr. leadership/Product Management/Software development to prioritize the programs and commit resources
  • Work with Cisco’s VE board, Meraki HW teams, JDM’s to manage secured funding
  • Develop architecture, author PRDs, and lead RFQs for approved VE programs
  • Validate and iterate on layout and schematics. Drive vendor approvals
  • Control product schedule, coordinate with ME, sourcing, packaging, certification, and quality teams. Provide technical guidance as needed
  • Interface with firmware resources and incorporate feedback into the development plan
  • Develop manufacturing flow, test plans, and quality processes
  • Work with product management, supply chain, and marketing to coordinate launch plans
  • Cooperate with quality and sourcing through sustaining production. Lead FA as required

 You Have:

  • BS and/or MS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • MBA a plus
  • 5+ years of experience working with networking hardware products
  • Be able to demonstrate mastery of basic financial skills (i.e. margins, Forecasts, ROI, budgetary reporting)
  • Excel / Google Docs Mastery
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Asia-based manufacturers.
  • Have a track record of a successful end to end product development
  • Able to travel up to 20% to Taiwan and China.
