Engineering at Vungle:

The Engineering Team at Vungle is responsible for building, enhancing and maintaining Vungle’s cutting edge AdTech stack. As a member of the engineering organization, you’ll be working closely with different engineering disciplines to deliver scalable and feature rich tools, systems and platforms.

The Senior Technical Project Manager role will focus on engineering roadmap execution, project reporting, team efficiency, and process evolution and adherence. We are seeking someone who is technical and is passionate about getting things done quickly and efficiently and who isn’t afraid to hold people accountable. The ideal candidate excels at juggling competing priorities, and multiple geo locations. We utilize agile methodologies in planning and execution as we deliver rapidly and reliably, with scalability. The Senior Technical Project Manager will report directly to the VP of Engineering who is based in San Francisco, CA. 

Responsibilities:

• Drive common goals across cross-functional teams, including release coordination and dependency planning and resolution
• Develop, track and manage technical projects from initiation to completion
• Define and manage milestones, identify potential risks, and resolve problems, and ensure frictionless workflow on the path to completion.
• Drive simultaneous initiatives including project planning, tracking, release and reporting.
• Facilitate meetings, including (but not limited to) quarterly planning, project planning, project standups, demos, cross-team issue resolution, and retrospectives
• Focus on improving the predictability of the application delivery schedule.
• Coach Managers, Developers, and Development Leads on effective processes and best practices
• Utilize team and roadmap metrics to drive a continuous improvement feedback cycle
• Gather feedback from teams and contribute to process evolution and scale
• Configure and customize JIRA and Confluence for team needs
• Ability to manage, communicate, and collaborate with global team members
• Ability to travel overseas depending on the job need (once travel restrictions have been removed).

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6+ years of full SDLC technical project management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience leading multiple teams towards a common goal
• Understanding of project management methodologies (agile and waterfall) and real life application
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects 
• Experience managing highly technical, complex projects
• Proven ability to influence without authority
• Comfortable with abstraction and a rapidly changing environment
• Self-starter who is biased towards action to get the job done
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Experience with JIRA
• Experience working with global teams
• Super focused, organized and the love helping others stay on track.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of AdTech
• Experience with Confluence and GitHub
• Administration experience with JIRA and Confluence
• Understanding highly distributed microservice applications
• Knowledge of / awareness of databases & data structures basics
