Position Summary 

The core mission of Harness is to have all engineers have the ability to deploy daily. According to a recent analyst study, less than five percent of organizations achieve that goal today. As an Evangelist at Harness you are joining a team of talented engineers who further that mission by reaching and educating peer engineers at their favorite events and mediums. Being the public voice and face of Harness in the EMEA region, you are the thought leader for CI/CD and software delivery in the region. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coming up with innovative and creative ways to engage engineers and build mindshare in a competitive environment
• Be the public voice and face of Harness at conferences and events. When it is safe to do so, having the ability to travel regularly to those conferences and events
• Creating compelling content in terms of blogs, eBooks, webinars, videos, and getting published to technology publications
• Working with vendors and projects in the ecosystem creating “first of its kind” demonstrations and “art of the possible” integrations
• Furthering relationships and reach with technology communities and organizations such as the CNCF
• Partnering with Engineering and Sales as a thought leader and acting as a champion for those who are not customers yet
• Partnering with the Community Manager and other Evangelists to help further drive the community and open source strategies

ABOUT YOU

• The only constant in technology is change. You enjoy learning new technologies and educating others on the pros and cons of new technologies
• Prior experience in a technical role such as a software engineer, DevOps engineer, SRE, or cloud engineer
• Existing experience creating blogs and other types of engineering-focused content
• A track record of success getting accepted into technical conferences
• A budding following on social media e.g Twitter, LinkedIn, GitHub, Medium, YouTube, etc.
• The ability to facilitate multiple points of view. Building strong and credible relationships with engineers and architects requires respecting multiple points of view
