At Plaid, we believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. We’re on a mission to unlock financial freedom for everyone.

We’re looking for a Technical Program Manager to help us identify, design, and manage the processes (and associated tools) that enable engineers to make their greatest impact. As one of our first Technical Program Managers, you’ll be expected to lead multiple, complex technology-driven projects and programs. As a generalist TPM, you’ll be called upon to roll up your sleeves, handle multiple competing priorities, quickly tease through complexity, and deploy the right operational tactics to solve the problem at hand. As one of your first programs, you’ll collaborate across all levels of the organization to improve our release processes and ensure that Plaid consistently delivers reliable, high-quality experiences to our customers.

As part of this role, you’ll join EPDS Operations, an interdisciplinary team of program managers tasked with delivering best-in-class systems and processes that enable efficient execution of Plaid’s strategy.

What excites you

  • Building internal processes and managing programs that make a tangible and measurable impact on customers
  • Exploring ways to improve existing processes through automation, streamlining, and program delivery.
  • Managing multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously, and making the tough calls when needed.
  • Acting as the glue between multiple groups and functions to build shared understanding and ensure organizational alignment.
  • Turning incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into action plans.

What excites us

  • 5+ years in a technical capacity with 2+ years in TPM capacity.
  • Experience launching products and/or delivering large software releases
  • Knowledge of software and systems engineering standard methodologies for the full development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence and convey messages to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to take accountability and responsibility for the success of programs
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and process discipline.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
