Technical Program Manager Job Description:

THE ROLE

As the Technical Program Manager at Postmates-X,  you will engage an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to define, develop, test, and implement functional requirements that go into Postmates-X’s autonomous robots. Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.  You will develop relationships with all levels of the business and understand each team’s function and dependencies to achieve our technical milestones. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Functions as Technical Program manager for various functional engineering groups. .
  • Identifies key areas of program improvement and risks.
  • Prioritizes Projects/Initiatives, Ensures project plans are documented, stakeholders are defined, budget and resources are allocated, objectives, milestones, success criteria and definition of done are identified and communicated.
  • Interacts with business stakeholders to understand risks critical to the program, define potential business impact and establish corrective action plans.
  • Prepares weekly reports for senior leadership.
  • Set aggressive targets and drive plans to achieve.
  • Be involved in early development to ensure products are manufacturable, and conduct Design for Manufacturability reviews. Build in constant manufacturing design improvement for product quality, factory efficiency and product cost.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree with a technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering/technical program/project manager in a electronics or robotics environment
  • Experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features sets
  • Experience leading complex hardware and software test initiatives across multiple international locations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to consolidate and communicate relevant information to Engineering Teams, Business Stakeholders, and Senior Management.
  • Ability to work effectively while prioritizing and juggling competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be goal oriented, highly motivated, and able to work under limited supervision.

Education & Experience

MS or BS in related Engineering discipline, MBA a plus.
