About the Role:
In this role, you will provide strategic and operational support as the Chief of Staff to the Chief Revenue Officer and the Revenue organization (Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, Partnerships).
The Revenue organization has helped Gusto maintain industry-leading NPS scores while serving over 300,000 customers. We strive to positively influence millions of businesses and hundreds of millions of employees across the county.
Here's what you'll do day-to-day:
- Work with the leadership team to analyze the business and identify important improvements to make
- Drive the Revenue organization's processes for strategic planning, decision-making, budgeting, operations, and metrics/OKRs (eg. BizOps)
- Collaborate on, and communicate, the Chief Revenue Officer's agenda, priorities, plans, and expectations, both in structured rituals (e.g. all-hands) and on the fly (e.g. cross-functional problem solving)
- Ensure efficient operations and resolve conflicts and/or unblock teams including identifying and resolving dependencies and roadblocks
- As an extension of the leader, predict and plan what will be needed, managing the day-to-day and being the eyes and ears of the organization
- On an as-needed basis, this role may take-on special projects and/or incubate new roles, processes, policies, or programs
- Conduct periodic external research and benchmarking to compliment internal insights and improvement opportunity identification

Here's what we're looking for:
- 10+ years of work experience in analytical, program management, or operating roles at high-growth companies
- 5+ years of operating experience in a Revenue team responsible for or adjacent to any of the following: sales strategy, operations, process or planning; marketing planning; revenue operations; goal- and target-setting
- Experience in systems thinking and process improvement
- Exceptional problem-solving skills including stellar program management
- Grit, hustle, and the ability to flex into problems at all altitudes
- Extraordinary inter-disciplinary and cross-functional communication skills; you'll have to speak to and align with and for folks from diverse domains
Our cash compensation amount for this role is between $152,000 - $188,000/year in Denver, between $178,000 - $220,000/year for New York/San Francisco. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.
Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.
When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.
