Business Development Manager

Uplandme, Inc. was founded in 2018 by three serial entrepreneurs. The game launched into open beta in January 2020 and became the largest blockchain game just eight months later. Available for iOS, Android, and the mobile web, Upland uses blockchain technology to power "true ownership" of digital assets.
To expand its reach beyond blockchain aficionados and towards a mass-market audience, we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager. Our ideal candidate will be familiar with Developing sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential.
The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will be in charge of driving some of our most challenging topics, partnering with both our Business/Tech teams & the rest of the People team.
The Responsibilities

  • Partner with the People Team (Talent Acquisition, People Ops, People Analytics, Learning & Development, Engagement, Culture & Comms) and key leaders throughout the organization to gather and prioritize project roadmap
  • Identify & proactively suggest new ideas and opportunities for Upland to be at the forefront of everything gaming
  • Prospecting new business opportunities: making regular and multiple outbound calls to prospects
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up
  • Manage portfolio of customers
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts
  • Identify decision makers within targeted leads to begin sales process
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects and customers within your assigned segment
  • Developing deep knowledge of Upland and ability to competently demonstrate product features
  • Providing prompt customer service and support when issues arise
  • Retention strategy and up-selling to increase the profitability of existing customers
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure


Requirements

  • You have developed rock-solid project management expertise from a consulting role (3-5 years) in a top-tier consulting firm
  • You can demonstrate concrete examples of your successful track record driving projects with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills: we are a global company, so experience working across cultures is a strong plus!
  • You have a strong desire to work in blockchain technology with a passion for gaming would be a strong plus!
