Job Description
Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.
Hello, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!
Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.
Where and how you can work
Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, but we've made our way from down under, to a hub in San Francisco, which is now home to our US operations. We offer flexibility in how and where you work. We trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.
What you'd be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Product positioning & messaging - You'll collaborate with Product, Sales & Marketing teams to help create and test the positioning & messaging for your portfolios.
  • GTM - You'll own the end-to-end GTM of new product launching, taking products from alpha through to general launch for your key audiences.
  • Product adoption & awareness - Working closely with the product and marketing teams to ensure our products are highly discoverable and optimized to drive ongoing adoption and engagement.
  • Customer research - You'll be the expert in connecting and understanding your core customers. You'll be someone who regularly connects with users, conducts research and testing and feeds the insights back to the product and marketing teams.
  • Market & competitive research - You'll act as the competitive expert for the competitors relevant to your key products and audiences. You'll conduct product teardowns, marketing analysis and market sizing, looking for key market opportunities for Canva.
  • Cross-functional champion - You'll be the person that helps connect the dots between product, marketing and sales. You'll have superb stakeholder management and be a world class communicator to ensure everyone knows what's launching, when and how it impacts them.
  • Sales enablement - You'll be a key touchpoint for the sales team, educating them on your portfolio and ensuring they have collateral to support their sales journey.

You're probably a match if

  • You possess over 6+ years of B2B Enterprise SaaS product marketing experience.
  • You have direct experience working in education or with education audiences.
  • Your exceptional communication skills empower all stakeholders to support your product strategies.
  • You are able to build strong cross-functional relationships with stakeholders from product, marketing, sales, strategy, and research.
  • You possess the ability to identify and forecast potential business problems/opportunities and identify appropriate ways to rectify/seize the opportunities and prioritize resources.
  • You have experience running complex cross-functional strategies and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • You demonstrate strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, aligning marketing strategies with organizational goals.
  • As Canva is a fast-growing and paced workplace, you're someone who can juggle multiple projects at once and has strong prioritization skills.
  • You embody a growth mindset and are eager to learn and grow every day.

How do your team's ideas influence the company's direction?

One of Canva’s core values is to Make Complex Things Simple. We find innovative ways to make legal concepts more approachable to non-lawyers and reduce the need to involve Legal with every move. What's something quirky about your company?

Season Openers are company events where Canva celebrates our wins and rallies around our goals. They're also some of the most over-the-top and quirky events you'll ever see. On my first day, at my first season opener, I learned about Canva through a Hollywood-worthy parody of "The Office"— I knew then I had found my new home!
