Operations Director (Omni Channel Fulfillment/HQ) 

The Operations Director for Madison Reed will have a passion for managing omni channel fulfillment operations to maximize efficiency and minimize costs. The Operations Director will be responsible for creating & improving processes, while using analytics as the basis for decision making. The Operations Director will build strong relationships with external business partners, and develop equally strong collaborations internally.The Operations Director will interface with every level of the organization to manage orders and finished goods inventory for each of our business channels. The Operations Manager will be process focused, detail oriented, analytical, comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and have the ability to think strategically with a bias for action and execution. This role will be based at our Headquarters in San Francisco, CA.

What you will do:

  • Own the process and systems in the areas of Order Management, Shipping and Reverse Logistics for our Direct to Consumer, Wholesale and Color Bar business channels at each DC location.
  • Direct all shipping and return processing activities in all channels to meet and exceed service level requirements to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders to customers. Resolve backorders and monitor for delivery and quality issues.
  • Manage fulfillment center relationships for shipping activities, providing forecasts for their labor planning and setting build levels for kitting.
  • Administer sku mapping and bill of materials setup in OMS as well as at fulfillment centers.
  • Oversee purchasing of packaging materials. Partner with Supply Chain to streamline purchases.
  • Manage wholesale item setup and PO updates in vendor portal.
  • Assess inventory weekly and determine actions needed for at risk items to meet in DC dates to support order fulfillment for all forecasted channel demands.
  • Maintain oversight of all transactional data to ensure inventory integrity, including reconciliation of on hand inventory at DC locations vs ERP system as part of the month end process.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Inventory Planning, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Product Innovation, Wholesale, Finance, Engineering and Customer Service to ensure a cohesive product and customer experience.
  • Evaluate projects to deliver efficiencies and optimization plans to maximize revenue opportunities and/or lower costs.

What you will need:

  • 8+ years of experience in Fulfillment Operations Management, Logistics or Supply Chain with an affinity towards e-commerce, consumer products and/or retail.
  • Bachelors Degree. 
  • Experience in managing fulfillment center performance.
  • Demonstrated strength in managing Operational KPI’s to showcase analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to be firm and precise, and concurrently build effective relationships.
  • Rigorous attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Highly organized with the ability to drive high level strategic thinking while also rolling up your sleeves to get the job done with a focus on issue resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively navigate in an ambiguous environment to achieve high levels of performance and deliver sustainable results to the team.
