Requires strong judgment, discretion, organization, communication, prioritization, and independent work with senior executives and vendors.

Leads end-to-end SAP finance solution architecture for Record to Report in a regulated biotechnology environment. Designs SAP FICO, PaPM allocations, transfer pricing, tax integrations, statutory reporting, e-invoicing, controls, and financial close processes. Partners with Finance, Tax, Controllership, and IT; governs integrations, data, security, auditability, and compliance. Provides technical leadership across design, testing, deployment, cutover, go-live, and stabilization while guiding consultants and managing risks.

Provides high-impact administrative and operational support to an SVP and global leadership team. Responsibilities include complex calendar and meeting management, cross-functional coordination, communications, travel and expense administration, SharePoint and Teams maintenance, presentation preparation, follow-up tracking, onboarding logistics, and team engagement activities. Requires discretion, sound judgment, strong organization, and the ability to manage competing priorities across time zones.

Participate in a 24-month Finance Development Program comprising two rotations across areas such as corporate finance, R&D finance, accounting, reporting, audit, treasury, and operations. Develop financial and business leadership skills through hands-on work, specialized training, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration while contributing to finance initiatives in the biotech industry.

Performs internal audits assessing governance, risk, controls, compliance, fraud, waste, and operational effectiveness. Supports audit planning, scoping, testing, data analysis, documentation, reporting, stakeholder interviews, and issue escalation. Develops risk-control matrices, dashboards, reports, and continuous monitoring tools. Partners with cross-functional teams and management to identify root causes, validate findings, and improve business processes.

Provides legal counsel to BioMarin’s Market Access organization on pharmaceutical pricing, reimbursement, government price reporting, healthcare regulations, promotional activities, and commercial contracting. Advises on Medicaid, Medicare, 340B, anti-kickback, transparency, and related laws. Drafts and negotiates payer, PBM, specialty pharmacy, distribution, rebate, data licensing, patient support, and value-based agreements while collaborating with Legal, Compliance, and cross-functional business teams.

Provides legal counsel to pharmaceutical commercial, marketing, medical affairs, and communications teams. Reviews promotional materials through MLR committees, negotiates commercial contracts, advises on healthcare regulations and compliance risks, supports investigations and corrective actions, and briefs executives on FDA, OIG, and industry enforcement trends.

Provides high-level executive support to the Chief Scientific Officer, including calendar and travel management, meeting preparation, communications, and stakeholder coordination. Coordinates R&D leadership activities, tracks deliverables and milestones, identifies risks, supports executive reporting, and maintains Teams and SharePoint workspaces. The role also streamlines workflows, supports internal communications, and serves as a cross-functional liaison while handling sensitive information with discretion.

Provides strategic legal counsel to BioMarin’s Early Research and Development organization. Leads negotiation and drafting of research, collaboration, licensing, technology, academic, and services agreements. Advises on intellectual property ownership, licensing, commercialization, data rights, publication rights, governance, and contractual risk. Partners with scientific, business, intellectual property, procurement, compliance, and business development teams while supporting due diligence, process improvements, legal training, and strategic innovation partnerships.

Leads manufacturing cost accounting for BioMarin’s Technical Operations Finance team, overseeing inventory costing, standard costs, COGS, overhead absorption, excess and obsolescence, reconciliations, audits, SOX controls, and intercompany eliminations. Supports period close, financial reporting, ERP improvement projects, manufacturing variance analysis, and process improvements. Collaborates across Finance and Operations, manages compliance with US GAAP, and coaches junior staff.

Leads end-to-end global product supply planning for complex biopharmaceutical products across internal sites, CMOs/CDMOs, distribution partners, and markets. Develops supply, inventory, risk, contingency, and lifecycle strategies while balancing service, cost, capacity, and resilience. Owns Rough-Cut Capacity Planning governance across the 0–36 month IBP horizon, including process design, SAP IBP requirements, analytics, training, change management, and stakeholder alignment. Operates as an expert individual contributor through influence rather than direct authority.

Leads portfolio-level media strategy and execution for BioMarin’s U.S. Metabolic Conditions portfolio. Develops integrated HCP and patient media plans, manages agency partners and budgets, oversees activation and optimization, establishes measurement frameworks, and translates performance data into business recommendations. The role drives compliant, innovative, and measurable paid media across multiple rare disease brands while influencing senior stakeholders and coordinating Marketing, Analytics, Digital, Finance, Procurement, and Compliance teams.
