Drive growth and retention while collaborating with sales, medical affairs, market access, corporate communications, global marketing, senior leadership, and external stakeholders.

Partners with the U.S. Pompe and Fabry commercial organization to design, deliver, and scale compliant learning programs across onboarding, product and disease training, launch readiness, selling excellence, and ongoing capability development. The role translates brand strategy and scientific information into field-ready learning, manages MLR/PRB approval and audit readiness, uses performance metrics to optimize programs, and pilots AI-enabled and modern learning approaches. It also collaborates globally and cross-functionally with Marketing, Medical, Compliance, Market Access, HR, and field leadership.

Leads U.S. accounts payable operations, team development, outsourced processing, payment execution, reporting, month-end close, SOX compliance, and audit support. Drives global AP transformation through process standardization, automation, ERP enhancements, AI-enabled invoice processing, workflow optimization, and integration initiatives. Partners with Procurement, Treasury, Accounting, Supplier Management, Global AP, and Digital Technology teams to improve controls, scalability, service delivery, and operational continuity.

Performs laboratory-based purification and analytical characterization of recombinant enzymes, proteins, antibodies, and peptides. Independently executes and optimizes chromatography and filtration workflows, troubleshoots equipment and processes, analyzes experimental data, maintains laboratory documentation, and communicates findings to multidisciplinary research teams. Supports analytical method development, technology transfer, instrument maintenance, and safe laboratory operations across early-stage biologics research programs.

Leads global digital strategy and capabilities for BioMarin’s International Business Unit. Develops omnichannel customer engagement strategies across web, paid media, SEO/SEM, email, CRM, social, and field tools. Owns digital roadmaps, customer journeys, segmentation, governance, agency relationships, budgets, measurement frameworks, dashboards, and marketing mix modeling. Partners with marketing, sales, analytics, IT, and digital operations to drive digital transformation, capability adoption, campaign performance, and customer-centric commercial outcomes.

Design and synthesize antibody-oligo, peptide, and other bioconjugates for nucleic acid therapeutics. Develop purification and conjugation methods, characterize products using HPLC, LC-MS, SDS-PAGE, and spectroscopy, and collaborate with Biology, Pharmacology, and Process Development teams on preclinical and clinical programs. Maintain laboratory documentation, present findings, and contribute scientific expertise to multidisciplinary research projects.

Performs internal audits assessing governance, risk, controls, compliance, fraud, waste, and operational effectiveness. Supports audit planning, scoping, testing, data analysis, documentation, reporting, stakeholder interviews, and issue escalation. Develops risk-control matrices, dashboards, reports, and continuous monitoring tools. Partners with cross-functional teams and management to identify root causes, validate findings, and improve business processes.

Supports enterprise-wide contracting by researching prior agreements, drafting and negotiating contracts using approved templates and playbooks, tracking agreements through contract lifecycle management systems, and ensuring policy compliance. Serves as a liaison among Legal, procurement, business stakeholders, and external parties. Also supports legal department initiatives, user training, template maintenance, process improvements, and cross-functional projects.

Manage intellectual property docketing, file management, patent annuities, renewals, deadlines, and formal documents. Coordinate with attorneys, patent agents, outside counsel, and vendors to ensure accurate and timely filings, payments, and records. Support the IP team with administrative tasks and special projects while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through technology and AI.

Provides legal counsel to BioMarin’s Market Access organization on pharmaceutical pricing, reimbursement, government price reporting, healthcare regulations, promotional activities, and commercial contracting. Advises on Medicaid, Medicare, 340B, anti-kickback, transparency, and related laws. Drafts and negotiates payer, PBM, specialty pharmacy, distribution, rebate, data licensing, patient support, and value-based agreements while collaborating with Legal, Compliance, and cross-functional business teams.

Leads global end-to-end supply chain process design, governance, transformation, and standardization across planning, distribution, launches, variations, value chain, and clinical supply. Drives cross-functional adoption, capability building, change management, continuous improvement, KPI development, and audit readiness. Partners with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Clinical, Quality, Commercial, Finance, Digital, and Analytics teams while leading a high-performing process excellence organization.

Process and reconcile accounts payable transactions, resolve invoice and supplier discrepancies, investigate exceptions, support month-end close and variance analysis, and improve AP workflows and reporting. The role also involves tracking IT tickets, documenting best practices, assisting with AP mailbox coverage, and supporting special projects. It is a one-year contract with a hybrid schedule in San Rafael.

Leads OPEX planning, forecasting, performance management, variance analysis, and decision support for Commercial Centers of Excellence. Partners with CoE and Commercial leaders on annual planning, quarterly forecasts, monthly close, business reviews, and resource allocation. Develops financial narratives, reporting, standardized tools, and automated processes while maintaining controls and data integrity. Operates as an individual contributor in a matrixed environment.

Leads integrated executive and corporate communications for BioMarin’s Chief R&D, Technical, and Business Officers. Develops messaging and engagement strategies across internal and external channels, including media, investor, social, web, events, speeches, and employee forums. Advises senior leaders, strengthens external visibility, translates complex scientific and business topics into compelling narratives, and drives alignment across a complex organization. Also supports business milestones, change communications, and issues or crisis management.

Leads the technical foundation for BioMarin’s Patient FIND capability, developing reusable, governed healthcare data products, analytical datasets, feature logic, quality controls, lineage, and measurement layers. Translates strategic priorities into technical requirements and scalable roadmaps, enables AI/ML and commercial analytics, and coordinates engineering, data science, governance, medical, commercial, and external teams. The role provides senior technical leadership, resolves data and compliance issues, mentors contributors, and supports future organizational capability building.

Serves as a strategic compliance advisor to U.S. Commercial and Medical teams. Provides risk-based guidance on healthcare laws, regulations, and industry codes; drafts compliance analyses; develops training; monitors field activities, patient programs, advisory boards, speaker programs, and HCP engagements; tracks remediation and reporting; supports policies and the corporate compliance program; and uses data and AI capabilities to identify emerging risks.

Provides legal counsel to pharmaceutical commercial, marketing, medical affairs, and communications teams. Reviews promotional materials through MLR committees, negotiates commercial contracts, advises on healthcare regulations and compliance risks, supports investigations and corrective actions, and briefs executives on FDA, OIG, and industry enforcement trends.

Manages high-volume contract and requisition workflows from initiation through approval and signature. Coordinates procurement, finance, legal, vendors, and internal stakeholders; researches and maintains supplier records; drafts and routes NDAs, scopes of work, and change orders. Supports market research and social listening compliance, data quality, governance, audit readiness, and process improvement within a regulated biotech environment.

Leads U.S. controllership accounting changes related to business initiatives, strategic transactions, integrations, and transformation efforts. Bridges technical accounting and operations by implementing processes, controls, reporting requirements, and operational guidance. Drives process improvements, documentation, metrics, issue remediation, system implementations, account mapping, data validation, and post-implementation stabilization. Partners with Technical Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, IT, and other stakeholders while evaluating automation and AI-enabled solutions.
