The Accounting Manager oversees accounting, cash management, financial reporting, accounts payable, reconciliations, draw reviews, audits, and cost certifications for housing development projects. The role manages funding sources, regulatory compliance, GAAP reporting, intercompany transactions, financial projections, and process improvements. It supervises and trains development accounting staff, supports project and finance teams, coordinates with auditors and agencies, and ensures accurate documentation, internal controls, and timely reporting across complex affordable housing developments.

Ensures affordable housing properties comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Conducts file reviews and audits, verifies income and rent limits, updates compliance documents, supports inspections and lease-ups, prepares reports, develops corrective action plans, and trains property management staff. The role communicates with internal teams, regulators, funders, and investors while addressing reasonable accommodation requests and monitoring portfolio-wide compliance.

Work with Chinatown residents and stakeholders to conduct outreach, gather and analyze community input on housing, transportation, economic development, and open space. Draft responses to city plans, assess project impacts, facilitate workshops, provide public testimony, and support advocacy and project management for neighborhood planning initiatives.
