The role requires an accomplished clinician-scientist or clinically oriented neuroscientist with substantial independent research experience and hands-on expertise conducting human studies.
Hardware
Analyze longitudinal functional ultrasound and electrophysiology data, develop image-processing and multimodal integration tools, and create algorithms for adaptive experiment design, online analysis, and closed-loop control. Collaborate with experimental scientists from study design through interpretation, contribute to scientific decisions, and build tooling for novel neuroscience experiments.

Develop clinical infrastructure for longitudinal and at-home neuromodulation studies while collaborating with clinicians, hospitals, researchers, and scientific leadership.

Design and validate research hardware for human and animal neuroscience experiments, including ultrasound systems, electrophysiology implants, headstage interfaces, circuit boards, and test rigs. Translate scientific needs into requirements, guide external engineering partners, improve device portability and robustness, determine what to build internally, manage contractors, and prepare documented, reproducible platforms for outside researchers.
