Lead a highly technical backend engineering team building scalable SaaS systems and AI-powered accounting automation. Responsibilities include mentoring senior engineers and tech leads, resolving complex technical issues, guiding architecture and system design, reviewing code, operating distributed production systems, and driving AI-assisted software development using tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.

Lead the architecture, reliability, observability, automation, and scalability of FloQast’s cloud-native SaaS platform. The role owns SLOs, disaster recovery, monitoring, CI/CD strategy, infrastructure automation, and complex cross-team engineering initiatives. It also mentors engineers, establishes technical best practices, and partners across the organization to solve high-impact platform challenges.

Build and maintain FloQast’s coded design system and component library using React and TypeScript. Prototype AI-native interfaces, enable designers and PMs to contribute front-end code, audit legacy UI, and improve performance across complex enterprise SaaS workflows and financial dashboards.

Leads enterprise accounting transformation engagements by deploying AI Agents, automating accounting workflows, troubleshooting Python, SQL, API, and integration issues, and driving customer adoption and ROI. Partners with CFOs, Controllers, Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success teams; oversees implementation partners; develops recovery plans for at-risk accounts; and influences product strategy. Requires deep accounting expertise, technical implementation skills, workflow automation experience, and travel up to 60%.

Build and ship high-impact full-stack features using React, NodeJS, MongoDB, AWS, and Snowflake. Own vertically sliced functionality across the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, code review, deployment, API development, and production support. Collaborate with engineering, sales, stakeholders, and customers to prioritize product opportunities, incorporate feedback, and improve engineering processes and systems.

Architects and leads production AI products, including chatbots, document processing, agentic workflows, and centralized AI platforms. Designs model routing, vector search, retrieval, context engineering, MCP integrations, and scalable cloud-native systems. Integrates AI with accounting systems, repositories, APIs, and enterprise technologies while ensuring monitoring, compliance, and observability. Provides technical leadership, establishes AI development standards, and mentors engineers.

Architect and lead production AI products, including chatbots, document processing systems, and agentic workflows. Build FloQast’s centralized AI platform with model routing, vector search, provider management, observability, and MCP integrations. Integrate AI systems with accounting platforms, repositories, APIs, and cloud environments. Establish AI engineering standards, ensure compliance and reliability, and mentor engineers while providing technical leadership across the organization.

Design and maintain automated testing across data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, REST APIs, backend services, and cloud data warehouses. Validate data integrity, schemas, transformations, reconciliations, performance, and reliability for ERP data flows. Integrate tests into CI/CD, manage synthetic test data, investigate discrepancies, support releases, and mentor junior quality engineers while promoting data-quality-focused testing practices.

Own the architecture, scalability, reliability, and delivery of complex software systems. Lead cross-functional technical initiatives, design AI-friendly APIs and agentic workflows, improve performance and cost efficiency, partner with product managers, mentor engineers, influence hiring, and drive engineering quality and technical direction with substantial autonomy.

Leads the global HRBP organization and advises executive leadership on organizational design, succession planning, workforce strategy, employee relations, performance management, and culture. Oversees People Business Partners supporting GTM and R&D, drives talent and career architecture, and partners with Finance and People functions on headcount, compensation, and international structures. Uses AI and people analytics to identify trends and guide organizational decisions during rapid global growth.

Design and deliver core platform capabilities for FloQast Transform, owning distributed systems, AI agent infrastructure, and visual workflow builders. Lead technical strategy, high-level design, and engineering best practices. Partner with Product and Design to translate ambiguous goals into roadmaps. Mentor senior engineers and raise the teams technical bar to enable scalable, resilient, secure SaaS automation for accounting workflows.

The Product Manager will define ecosystem integration priorities, evaluate source systems, drive technical definitions, collaborate across teams, and support customers during integration processes.

Lead design and evolution of FloQast's core data platform and lakehouse, owning event streaming, batch and streaming ETL, storage, governance, and compute architecture (Spark). Define standards, mentor engineers, collaborate cross-functionally, and ensure scalable, secure, production-grade data infrastructure for product and analytics.

Serve as the technical SAP integration expert in pre-sales engagements. Advise prospects on SAP landscapes, APIs, connectors, SFTP, SAML, data structures, and automation workflows. Support late-stage sales opportunities through demonstrations, technical discovery, proof-of-concepts, integration design, and customer-facing documentation. Collaborate with Sales, Solutions Consulting, Product, and Engineering teams to resolve technical blockers and communicate integration requirements.

Serve as a pre-sales SAP and accounting subject matter expert, advising finance stakeholders on integrations, automation, data structures, and month-end close workflows. Partner with sales, solutions consulting, product, and engineering teams to demonstrate business value, support proof-of-concepts, develop integration environments, answer technical questions, and translate complex SAP connectivity concepts into business-friendly guidance. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, SAP expertise, customer communication skills, and up to 25% travel.

Generates new business opportunities for an AI accounting platform by building prospect lists, conducting outbound outreach, qualifying prospects, scheduling product demos, tracking activity in Salesforce, and collaborating with Account Executives, Marketing, and Sales Management. The role requires audit or accounting experience and offers a pathway into sales.
