Lead, train, and develop a team of Underwriting Assistants to ensure accurate, timely policy processing, issuance, endorsements, account management, and underwriting support for Workers' Compensation and Commercial Lines. Monitor quality and workflow, audit files, coach staff, resolve escalations, partner with operations and underwriting leadership to improve processes, and manage hiring, performance, and development activities to meet service and compliance standards.

Support underwriters with account management and policy processing for Commercial Lines and Workers' Compensation. Process new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements; gather underwriting information; issue policies and documents; handle agent and customer inquiries; coordinate follow-up and collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate policy administration.

Provide advanced underwriting support including issuing and processing policies, handling complex account management, mentoring/training underwriting staff, performing quality audits, and serving as a subject matter resource for agents and internal partners.

Support and manage EDI compliance and reporting for workers compensation claims (FROI/SROI, Medicare Section 111). Reconcile and validate EDI transactions, investigate and resolve errors, maintain documentation and workflows, assist audits, support trainings, collaborate with IT/vendors, and provide analytical and project-based support to Claims and stakeholders.

Handle complex California workers' compensation claims from investigation through resolution. Communicate with stakeholders, direct defense counsel, manage reserves and benefits, and use litigation and settlement strategies. Serve as SME, mentor colleagues, support specialty handling for catastrophic or long-duration claims, ensure regulatory compliance and accurate claims data, and continuously improve processes and technical skills.

The Actuarial Specialist produces analyses, manages projects, and oversees team workload to enhance actuarial processes in the organization, ensuring business growth and profitability.
