Design and own power conversion systems from specification through manufacturing, including DC/DC converters, isolated power supplies, and inverters. Responsibilities include topology and semiconductor selection, magnetics, schematics, PCB layout, EMC, safety, verification, validation, system bring-up, and performance optimization. Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, reliability, and firmware teams to develop efficient clean-energy products.

Supports hardware engineering programs through validation, testing, certification, and manufacturing readiness. Tracks schedules, milestones, risks, resources, deliverables, and action items; coordinates prototype builds and shipments; follows issues through resolution; and prepares executive-ready status updates. Collaborates with engineering, reliability, test, compliance, supply chain, manufacturing, and external partners while learning technical program management in a clean-energy hardware environment.

Lead reliability engineering for power electronics and battery products across the product lifecycle. Collaborate on hardware design, establish reliability targets, provide Design for Reliability inputs, and drive DFMEAs. Develop accelerated life test plans, monitor field performance and warranty metrics, conduct failure analysis, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions and product improvements.

Design and deliver embedded firmware across the full product lifecycle for home energy products. Responsibilities include power electronics controls, system behaviors, optimization, communications protocols, diagnostics, updates, control algorithms, manufacturing automation support, validation testing, and production quality. Collaborate cross-functionally to develop reliable, high-volume products with wireless mesh and continuous communications requirements.

Ensure reliability of power electronics and battery products throughout their lifecycle. Responsibilities include setting reliability targets, providing Design for Reliability input, conducting DFMEAs, developing accelerated life test plans, tracking field performance and warranty insights, and leading failure analysis and corrective actions. The role requires expertise in power converter topologies, failure mechanisms, microscopy and materials-analysis techniques, accelerated life testing, and reliability statistics.

Design and fully lay out PCBs for home energy storage products, including thru-hole, SMT, mixed-signal, high-speed, high-voltage, and high-power boards. Create component footprints and schematic symbols, optimize placement with electrical and mechanical engineers, generate manufacturing documentation, and address signal integrity, power integrity, thermal, mechanical, and manufacturability requirements. Drive designs from concept through qualified high-volume production while collaborating cross-functionally.

Design, develop, and optimize embedded firmware across the full stack (bootloader to application) for constrained hardware. Implement and maintain RTOS and platform firmware (flash file systems, communication stacks), deliver power-electronics control functionality, integrate hardware and software, support testing, reliability, and manufacturing, participate in architecture and code reviews, and use modern engineering practices (Git, CI).
