Position summary
The Data Analyst (1099- Talent Acquisition), plays a critical role in strengthening Nava’s data-driven hiring strategies. This position is responsible for managing, analyzing, and interpreting TA data to help inform strategic decisions across recruiting and workforce planning. You’ll ensure the Talent Acquisition team has accurate, timely insights into hiring performance, talent trends, and market intelligence to optimize how we attract, engage, and retain talent. Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining dashboards, generating ad hoc and recurring reports, and delivering key metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, quality-of-hire, and pipeline effectiveness. You will partner with TA teams on project-based analyses, supporting strategic hiring decisions and contributing to the evolution of our Talent Acquisition data platform.

What you'll do
- Analyze TA workflows and data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and performance trends; recommend and implement process improvements
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports that visualize funnel metrics, recruitment KPIs, and workforce trends for TA teams and leaders
- Provide actionable insights from internal and external data to guide hiring strategy, forecasting, and workforce planning
- Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance tool integration, data accuracy, and process efficiency
- Lead or support system migrations and data transitions from legacy frameworks to modern platforms, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption
- Monitor and analyze key metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, conversion, offer acceptance, diversity) to evaluate effectiveness and drive optimization
- Collaborate with Talent Attraction and Employer Brand partners to assess and improve candidate sourcing channels
- Perform descriptive and predictive analyses using tools like Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, R, or Python
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with governance and privacy standards
- Stay current on TA analytics and industry best practices to continuously improve strategies and reporting
- Experience storytelling with data, i.e. understanding and explaining what the data is telling us
Required skills
- 3+ years of experience in recruiting analytics, people analytics, or data management (government contracting experience preferred)
- Proven experience implementing or integrating ATS platforms (e.g., Lever, Greenhouse, Workday)
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio) and advanced Excel/Sheets skills; SQL or similar querying experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of recruiting processes and metrics (pipeline, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, diversity, etc.)
- Exceptional attention to detail, data accuracy, and confidentiality
- Ability to synthesize data into clear insights and communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
Desired skills
- Experience with government contracting compliance data (EEO, OFCCP, or similar)
- Exposure to workforce planning or labor market analytics
- Passion for building data-driven recruiting strategies that support mission-driven work
