Software Engineering builds the brains of Waymo's fully autonomous driving technology. Our software allows the Waymo Driver to perceive the world around it, make the right decision for every situation, and deliver people safely to their destinations. We think deeply and solve complex technical challenges in areas like robotics, perception, decision-making and deep learning, while collaborating with hardware and systems engineers. You will:
- Launch features that directly improve Waymo's driving behavior in highly dynamic and challenging environments.
- Work closely with onboard engineers to apply latest techniques to integrate and validate large ML models in real-time production systems.
You have:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience with C++ and Python.
- Strong understanding of data structures and problem solving skills.
We prefer:
- Experience applying machine learning to solve computer vision, motion planning or related robotics problems.
- Experience with Data structures, algorithms, etc.
- Experience using Machine Learning core concepts.
