Your role at a glance

As an Entry-level Electrical Engineer at NTT Global Data Centers Americas, you will play a vital role in the Technical Operations team, contributing to the efficient and reliable operation of our large, technically complex data center facilities. You will support the electrical infrastructure and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. In this role, you will work under the guidance of senior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize electrical systems and enhance energy efficiency. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be essential in identifying and resolving electrical issues. This entry-level position presents an excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience and build a strong foundation in electrical engineering.

What we are looking for

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Assist in the design, development, and modification of control system software. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational objectives in control systems. 

  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of control systems to identify and resolve issues. 

  • Participate in the implementation of energy efficiency measures and sustainability initiatives. 

  • Contribute to the documentation of engineering activities, preparing reports, and providing updates to stakeholders. 

  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in controls engineering. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems and principles. 

  • Familiarity with Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 

  • Previous internship or hands-on experience in electrical engineering is a plus. 

Physical Requirements 

  • Able to hear and speak on a telephone/videoconferencing. 

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments. 

  • Requires the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds. 

Work Conditions 

  • Work from home environment. 

  • Occasional visits to Data Center environments, which may be under construction for client builds, and subject to loud noises. 

  • Daily usage of a computer and/or workstation keyboards and terminals. 

Special Requirements 

  • Occasional travel to company locations throughout the US approximately 10% 

  • Must be willing to occasionally work outside normal business hours, including weekends, late nights, and early mornings to maintain communication with our global partners and counterparts in the organization. 

Compensation Pay Range

This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device.
NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $82,300 - $152,900.
All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
