ROLE OVERVIEW
Account Executives support the account management team by overseeing small to medium-sized programs and/or working as part of a larger team on large-scale programs.

Successful Account Executives are skilled communicators, nimble producers, flexible and creative problem solvers who can lead a team of onsite executors when required. The ideal Account Executives are organized, passionate about client relations, and focused on producing high-quality products and services.

RESPONSIBILTIES

Client Relationships

  • Executing with excellence on behalf of the clients
  • Execution may require work in-field, or in the office, and will vary on a program-by-program basis
  • Communicating with clients as required to understand their needs, deliver this information back to your direct manager and team, and execute accordingly
  • Maintaining updated knowledge of client products and services
  • Identifying and informing on industry trends
  • Collecting and analyzing data to learn more about consumer behaviour, before programs and after
  • Acting as an extension of your client throughout planning, execution and wrap up – always keeping your client’s needs top of mind

Team

  • Collaborating with your direct team to facilitate client need fulfillment
  • Working closely with partners and suppliers to ensure they have all the tools & information required to support your business
  • Working with your manager to develop a team of executors to support you where/when required
  • Training, leading and managing Brand Ambassadors and/or Coordinators (program & team dependent)
  • Liaising with your manager regularly, ensuring they are aware of your activities, informed on client updates and can support you as required

Financial

  • Working to gain experience with Salt’s pricing model & your client's specific budget tools
  • Building small to medium-sized budgets
  • Owning & overseeing components of large-sized budgets
  • Reconciling all sizes of program budgets; staying in close contact with the finance team as required
  • Staying on budget in all circumstances, and ability to recognize when a budget may not be sufficient and communicating this to your manager
  • Managing purchases on behalf of the client and company, and implementing detailed expense management practises to ensure all employee and corporate expenses are reconciled in a timely and correct manner
  • Ability to review small to medium budgets with clients, working with your manager to provide a detailed overview of budget breakdown and pricing rationale
  • Supporting with driving business growth in an effort to reach objectives

Business Operations

  • Overcoming challenges and making suggestions to improve processes
  • Supporting teams and committees within Salt to create a positive culture and test/implement new policies, procedures and processes
  • Supporting your team with ancillary projects that support either the client or Salt on a day-to-day basis

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • 2 - 5 years’ experience in the experiential marketing industry
  • 1-3 years’ experience in event production and coordination
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders on projects (creative, design, digital)
  • Experience collaborating with external stakeholders on projects (vendors, brand ambassadors, venues)
  • Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage program budgets
  • Excellent active listening & time management skills
  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others internally and externally
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of consumer behaviours and industry trends
  • Strong foundational technology skills – familiarity with O365, social & digital media
  • Passion for marketing & partnerships
