POSITION SUMMARY

The Account Executive, Education is responsible for driving new business growth by developing partnerships with K–12 schools and school districts throughout an assigned territory. This role is responsible for generating new sales opportunities, managing the full sales cycle, and building trusted relationships with education leaders to advance Yondr's mission of creating phone-free learning environments.

Reporting to the Education Sales leadership team, the Account Executive serves as a consultative partner to prospective customers, identifying their needs and delivering tailored solutions that improve student engagement and learning outcomes. The ideal candidate is a proactive, relationship-driven sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building meaningful connections, and is passionate about helping schools create distraction-free spaces where students can thrive.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development & Sales

  • Develop and execute a territory sales strategy to generate new business opportunities with K–12 schools and school districts.

  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, cold calling, referrals, networking, and lead generation activities.

  • Conduct in-person meetings, virtual presentations, phone calls, and email outreach to establish relationships with school administrators and district decision-makers.

  • Meet or exceed established sales goals through effective pipeline management and disciplined sales execution.

  • Identify and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other competitive bid opportunities.

  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and partnership agreements with prospective customers.

Relationship Management

  • Develop trusted relationships with school leaders, administrators, and district stakeholders throughout the sales process.

  • Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations that clearly communicate the value and impact of Yondr's solutions.

  • Collaborate with existing customers to identify referral opportunities and expand regional market presence.

  • Represent Yondr with professionalism while serving as a trusted advisor to prospective education partners.

Sales Operations & Collaboration

  • Maintain accurate customer records, pipeline activity, forecasts, and sales documentation within the company's CRM platform.

  • Partner closely with Implementation, Customer Success, and Account Management teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding and successful handoffs following contract execution.

  • Participate in ongoing sales training, professional development, and product education to strengthen sales effectiveness and industry knowledge.

  • Represent Yondr at regional and national education conferences, trade shows, and industry events to generate awareness and new business opportunities.

  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned in support of departmental and organizational objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • Two (2) or more years of professional sales experience with demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales goals.

  • Experience in outbound prospecting, cold calling, lead generation, and pipeline development.

  • Ability to travel up to 60% to support customer meetings, conferences, and business development activities.

  • Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel throughout assigned territory.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to build trust and credibility with school administrators and executive-level decision-makers.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.

  • Self-motivated and highly autonomous with excellent follow-through and accountability.

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and rapidly evolving environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt solutions to customer needs.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and standard business productivity applications.

  • Passion for Yondr's mission of creating distraction-free environments that promote meaningful human connection.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling into the K–12 education market.

  • Experience presenting to school boards, district leadership teams, or educational organizations.

  • Familiarity with public sector purchasing processes and RFP responses.

  • Previous experience representing an organization at conferences, trade shows, or industry events.

  • Experience in solution-based or consultative B2B sales.

  • Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods while working at a computer.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, virtually, and by telephone.

  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time, including occasional evenings and weekends for conferences and customer events.

  • Ability to transport sales materials, displays, and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.

JOB LOCATION

  • Must live in Los Angeles

  • Remote

COMPENSATION

  • Expected OTE = $165,000 w/base of $90,000-$95,000
