About the Role

You’ll join a high-performing enterprise sales team focused on disrupting the credit union industry. Each Account Executive owns a dedicated territory of 150+ credit unions (15K–70K members, $200M–$1B in assets) and is responsible for driving net-new business. You’ll manage your pipeline through a mix of inbound leads (which account for over 30% of our opportunities), channel and ecosystem partnerships, conferences, and strategic in-person engagements.

This is a higher-velocity, six-figure sales motion with an average deal cycle of 100 days. You’ll sell across Clutch’s full suite of solutions—representing our expanded ecosystem of products—and serve as a trusted advisor to your customers. The most successful AEs at Clutch don’t just sell; they guide customers through a tailored, consultative evaluation journey, acting as the “sherpa” to help them define success and build confidence in their decision.

We win when we meet customers in person—whether at onsite meetings for qualified deals or at industry events where credit union leaders gather. To thrive here, you’ll need a deep passion for the credit union movement and a genuine desire to help these community-driven institutions modernize, grow, and serve their members better.

About the Team

Our enterprise team is heading into its second year, building on the momentum of Clutch’s successful strategic sales team, which has been selling for four years. We’re focused exclusively on net-new logo acquisition and are scaling rapidly into the growing-to-midsize credit union segment.

Led by a passionate sales leader who values collaboration over micromanagement, the team operates with autonomy, trust, and shared purpose. Each AE is supported by a SDR and solutions engineering team that brings technical and industry expertise to every deal.

At Clutch, we face minimal competitive losses—our biggest challenge is helping customers overcome “no decision” and align their strategic priorities. That’s why we look for sellers who are proactive, consultative, and driven by purpose. Together, we’re building something that matters: empowering credit unions with modern member technology that strengthens their communities and their future.

What You’ll Do

Within 3 months, you will:

  • Dive deep into the world of credit unions—understanding their goals, challenges, and what makes them such vital community institutions.

  • Shadow onsite customer meetings and attend an industry event to gain firsthand experience in how we build relationships and close business in person.

Build relationships with your channel and ecosystem partners to strategize on shared targets and identify joint opportunities.

  • Begin engaging with inbound opportunities (with manager support) and start building your sales pipeline.

  • Develop strong connections with your teammates and cross-functional partners to set a foundation for collaboration and success.

Within 6 months, you will:

  • Celebrate your first closed deal!

  • Confidently deliver product demos and navigate basic technical conversations with the support of your solutions engineering team.

  • Build a healthy and predictable pipeline that positions you to exceed your annual quota.

  • Continue refining your territory plan and develop a repeatable process for driving net-new business within your assigned credit union segment.

Within 9 months, you will:

  • Become well-versed in our full suite of Clutch products and incorporate them into your cross-selling strategy.

  • Independently drive the full sales cycle from discovery through close, creating tailored evaluation plans that guide your customers through their decision journey.

  • Be recognized as a trusted advisor to your customers and a key contributor to the team’s continued growth and success.

What You’ll Bring

  • 2–3+ years of experience selling as a Software Account Executive (AE), running consultative, full-cycle sales processes for transformational platforms — not transactional products. Average deal should be $100K-150K.

  • Proven experience navigating RFPs and collaborating closely with solutions engineering to drive complex, solution-oriented evaluations.

  • A strategic mindset with the ability to deeply understand your competitive landscape and influence sales cycles through clear, differentiated value.

  • Passion and drive to succeed — the mindset of “if not me, who?”

  • Excitement for travel and meeting customers in person to build trust and accelerate deals.

  • Natural curiosity and a genuine desire to help people and organizations transform the way they serve their members.

  • Accountability in building your own plan for success and executing with focus and ownership.

  • An honest, open communicator who isn’t afraid to ask for help, share feedback, and collaborate to win as a team.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with credit unions, fintech, or member-owned companies.

A Note About AI at Clutch
We love AI. We use it often and encourage our team to creatively and effectively leverage AI tools in their work. If you join Clutch, we hope you'll bring the same enthusiasm for exploring how AI can amplify impact, productivity, and innovation.
That said, during the interview process, we want to hear your thoughts. Please approach interviews without the use of AI tools—our goal is to get to know how you think, solve problems, and communicate. Once you're in the seat, bring on the prompts!
